Also, it's not as if the critical acclaim received by both artists is equal. For example, Taylor has never had an album receive an 80+ metacritic score... In fact, her latest release, Reputation, barely scored above a 70. "Beyoncé" and "Lemonade had an 85 and a 92 respectively.

Uhm, it does translate to sales  She always sells more albums than Rihanna and sold 4-5 million with her last releases. Those are BIG numbers, so I don't understand why you'd say it doesn't translate to sales

I really have to chime into this conversation really quick. I’m seeing a lot of hate coming towards Beyonce. Remember her Homecoming album, which is a live compilation of her PAST catalogue debuted at number 4 and is already predicted to be nominated for Album of the Year at the Grammys. Let that sink in. Of course Taylor will be more commercially successful because she knows her demographic. White,tasteless, no substance, generic. Beyonce just finished a sold out stadium tour off of OLD MUSIC lol. I feel like ppl hate Beyonce because they feel they can’t relate to her. They can’t relate to drive, dedication, and hard work. They relate to laziness and imperfection because it makes them feel less insecure about their own lives. Beyoncé’s latest live album is the most critically acclaimed female album of all time lol like we have to stop acting like Beyonce is not the khalessi of this world. The only person who comes close to the iconicness and drive of Beyonce is Gaga. THATS IT. The only reason Taylor sells is because she is the music equivalent to McDonald’s. McDonald’s sells a billion burgers a day but is it food that people even admit they like? Ask yourself that question and then we can discuss how Beyonce is UNDERRATED.
