really? wow i thought it just randomly liked. I kinda miss that gaga tbh, like say what u want about her mental health at time, but at lest we knew she was being real 

Also yeah I agree w u on Bloody Mary that it prob woulda flopped. But Aura/Burqa could have gone viral bc it'd be Telephone part 2, and ScheiBe is up for deabte but tbh i feel like it could have done well with a good radio edit OR at the very least become a fan favorite single that flopped hard ala Marry the Night

Interscope already gives her majority creative control. That’s the entire reason why Interscope was founded—to give artistic freedom to the artists. But promotionally speaking, Interscope makes the decisions. Interscope is a major label and music in the end is a business. They fund an artists studio sessions and they need to get a return on their investment and make a profit. It’s actually easier to release music without a record label. Gaga even talks about this in her Zach Sang interview.

Interscope chooses the track list, the single choices, and the release dates. They can be influenced by the artist’s opinion if the artist is really adamant about it, but the label calls the shots. And they still offer far more freedom than almost every other major label out there. Many other artists besides Gaga have thanked Interscope for their trust in them and have expressed appreciation for being allowed the choose the direction of their music.
