I think he's right. I also think  terrorists should be able to vote if they are from your country of course.  Even pedos, they are only human just like us with great opinions and an amazing mindset! We need their votes!!!!

I disagree with him on this issue.

However, I believe that once a felon gets out of prison, they should be allowed to vote.

That is an extremely privileged perspective.

The American justice system is extremely unjust that works against minorities.

Black and Brown Americans get years and years of jailtime just for drug dealing. Whereas, white Americans can even openly indulge in drug consumption without any consequence.

Do you see how the inability to vote while in prison puts minorities at such an disadvantage?

But I know that and addressed this in my first comment to you so I dont know why you keep repeating it! I literally said that I did not mean the exact half.

And I already addressed that approval rating and supporting someone are completely different. People dont approve of him but they do support him because he is the only choice they have. Many Obama supporters support him and voted for him twice yet his approval ratings were down.

Im sorry but if you cant understand this, I dont know how to explain this to you.

I kept repeating those numbers because you were wrong. It’s not even close to being half. If you say something that is factually incorrect even if you were speaking figuratively, it doesn’t matter. When talking about things like voting statistics it’s important to use the actual numbers.

If you don’t approve of someone then you will not support them, that makes no sense. Just because he is the president does not mean that everyone supports him. I am an American and I do not approve of him or support him just because he is the president. That is why I support Bernie and will do everything I can to get him elected. Obama won because he had enough votes  to win both of his elections. That doesn’t prove anything that you said.

If you can’t understand these things then I guess our conversation is over.

Its something even people in the news say.. they say half the country or half the voters everyone uses this term so thank you for wasting a conversation about absolutely nothing. When people say women are half of the country, they also dont mean literally because there is going to be a higher number on one side but people still say half.

I did not say you support Trump because he is your president, I said Trump voters voted for him and supported him even if they have low approval of him. They only voted and supported him because the other choice they have is HILARY CLINTON.  This is why people kept saying to vote for the better of two evil meaning voters did not like the candidate they voted for.

GET IT?!

Yes, I do. I agree that POC are over represented in our prison population, due to factors that often involve bigotry and poverty. We should overhaul the prison system where those who are in for minor offenses are allowed to do community service, reduce their plea down to a misdemeanor or are put on a track to a timely rehabilitation.

I think the people who should lose their right to vote are more the people who are in for murder, rape or terrorism. Even then, if they serve their sentence, I believe they should then be treated like a citizen with full benefits.

Nobody should lose their right to vote. Period. As soon as you waver from this position, you leave a president and opportunity for other groups of people to be denied the right to vote. Our current system inherently makes it difficult to do so for people who do not commit crimes and especially minorities as it stands anyway. Anyone who believes in a genuine democracy shares this view. People who do not are either inherently privileged or believe that either government or other people have the ability to take rights away from others. Both of these perspectives are dangerous.

Kamila Harris said during the debate that she studied prison populations and found that most were high school dropouts. Then she discovered that high school dropouts had been skipping school since the earliest elementary grades. She spent a bunch of money trying to get elementary kids to stop skipping class and achieved a 30% improvement.  70% class skippers kept skipping class. :saladga:

If the kids don't go to school, they can't read, they can't write, they can't learn useful skills.  Teachers are more likely to pass a kid onto the next teacher than to fail a kid that didn't understand things at that level. Pass the problem kid onto the next teacher.
