Unless you were in the room when Gaga and her team discussed visions, the setting, the mood she wanted to convey, the lighting constraints, weather, etc, you really have no idea if they executed it or not.   All art including hair and makeup is subjective, and just because you don't like something doesn't mean it wasn't what Gaga wanted or that it wasn't right for the parameters.

 

Of course I recognize how important they are to her as friends, but that doesn't mean their work can't be criticized.

And yes, of course I don't know what things were like behind the scenes and whatever, but that doesn't mean I can't have an opinion on the final product. It's like saying you can't  judge whether you think a painting is good or not because you don't know the artist's intention. 

And of course that is just my opinion. And no, my opinion doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, and if Gaga loves everything the way it is, she doesn't have to give a f*ck about any of our opinions, but like,, this is a fan forum and the whole point of this website is to share and discuss opinions.

I get it, but a lot of people on GGD complain about the team all the time as if their opinion is objective fact, sorry if I seem to have applied that to you a bit too directly also.    For example, people had tons of complaints about the way her makeup for the Oscars looked on the red carpet, but it looked beautiful under the stage lighting during the shallow performance.   You can't always design something that will work in every possible circumstance, and sometimes compromises are required.

I just find it interesting how often GGD tries to tell Gaga she's doing everything wrong, meanwhile she keeps finding success while stretching her boundaries, and her team keeps getting industry awards for their work.

No, I recognize that I'm just a random opinion that doesn't mean sh*t to her team 

I for example also thought that her makeup for the oscars was quite underwhelming and could have been better for the red carpet at least, but obviously at the end of that day that didn't take away from her amazing performance.

I mean the things that I think she is doing "wrong" aren't major things at all. I very much realize that I am nit-picking an overall almost perfect artist. Obviously a questionable hairstyle here or there, or an unflattering makeup-job here or there isn't going to take away from her amazing music, acting, stage presence, personality, skill, talent etc. I'm just saying that while almost everything about her is an A+, there are certain minor issues, like inconsistent or not very revolutionary hair & makeup that could be brought up to that level in my humble opinion

Gaga’s team is one of the worst in the industry and she won’t fired them or do something since they all are "yes men" type of person so... we are f*ck up luv...

her make up is tragic she look most of the time like a clown or a men it depend but sarah tanNO can do good sometimes... for example her 2015 look (before surgery) we’re simply beautiful during the joanne era it’s was such a mess dark times.... and for a ASIB meh sometimes good sometimes bad the only stand out make up during that era was for the Jimmy Kimmel interview god she looked so good that night

for Frederic again like Sarah tanNO a hit or a miss during the joanne era and ASIB her hair looked fried ugly dry and BLONDE but for her look in 2012/2013 it’s was good and also the fact he don’t even know how to make a good hairline simply tell everything anyways

anytime anyone in the Haus speaks up they seem to mention that the Haus is "family".  Gaga says this also about her teammates.   She has surrounded herself with people who's work she likes but also that are important to her in other ways.  They seem to have a bond way beyond workmates.   Isn't that the kind of working environment we all would prefer?

You sounds a bit rude but you're not wrong. I hope those were really Gaga's choice to have matures looks from joanne to ASIB, we are sure that the team can still serve traditional GAGA looks, cuz they did in the JWT interludes, the gay pride appearance last year, the weird Instagram post on Instagram...etc...

The thing is, no matter how many times her fans are complaining about her hairstyles, makeup/choreography, she keeps on winning. It's not like she gets backlash over her appearance, it's totally the other way around. She has a great career moment for few years now, and that is just your opinion on it. So wrong. You all want Rihanna or Beyoncé consistently good looks? Sorry but what you said you want is basically minimal changes and nothing inventive. Gaga's looks, from makeup to hairstyle are always fashion forward and unique, some may be questionable but the way they are NOT consistent is what makes Gaga such a transformative icon. Jimmy Kimmel's look was the most BASIC bitch look and see, that's what you all are praising because you want the basic bitch makeup and hair. But if you want that, don't expect Gaga to be a fashion icon, because she'll just be another bitch in a dress.

I think it's not 100% fault of Sarah or Freddy, they work under Gaga's orders I think, so they create what Gaga wants to see in herself. Anyways for me she looks stunning almost all the time (except a very few ).
