I mean shes 100% right.

But will they? :emma: It could be revealed hes a serial rapist and killer of women tomorrow and the Senate would probably not impeach him.

I think Congress has a duty, given the evidence that he had the means + intention to obstruct justice in an investigation against him (also, why would he do that if he had nothing to hide :rip: what a dumb ass :ladyhaha:) but it would probably bite them in the butt if/when the GOP doesn't do **** to support it.

The excuse is he did the obstruction because he knows it was bullshit and they are creating a witch hunt against him. Thats what republicans will say. They will also say that you cant impeach Trump on obstruction when the report also found no evidence of collusion. How can you obstruct if there is no original crime? it will just make him look better.

You can however impeach him on crimes like the war in Yemen and accepting foreign business money but democrats wont do that because they support these crimes and like that Trump does it.

That's weak af and anyone with a brain can see past it though.

Trump, an innocent man, was afraid that they might find something on him, so he obstructed justice so they wouldnt find out that he was... innocent?

Makes perfect sense :rip:

Collusion (Conspiracy/Treason) is not Obstruction, those were separate aims of the Mueller Investigation. The only requirement for Obstruction of Justice is willful intent or success in impeding justice (the investigation). It shows a disrespect for the law. Any president or public official should welcome any and all investigations in the name of transparency, Congress and the public have a right to know if their elected officials are guilty of wrong doing, because they serve the people, not the other way around.

Again, the Senate wouldn't convict him because they are corrupt, not because they are right. And people are smarter than we give them credit sometimes. Republicans may win that battle (and he wont get impeached successfully) but people WILL remember the blatant corruption of the GOP, they already do, look at the midterms. It will eventually bite them in the back if Dems ever make the system more fair when it comes to campaign finance laws, gerrymandering, etc. Corruption should be rooted out on all sides, it is an absolute must to guarantee Democracy succeeds.

I agree but it wont work so it would be stupid to impeach him on that. It will be a waste of time and Trump will gain popularity. And trust me, people dont care about corruption, they only care about political gains. The DNC corruption is open and obvious and everyone turns a blind eye and defends it. The fact that they wont impeach Trump on the Yemen war and  foreign business is corruption by itself so how do you expect them to have that standard?

The fact is, Democrats would rather have Trump than a real progressive because Democrats are truly republicans and work for the same people.

i don't like donald trump but idk if he's committed an impeachable offense tbh. is attempting  to obstruct justice a high crime and misdemeanor? idk. democrats are out to prove that he did, i think, with their own investigations, but in terms of the evidence we have now, idk tbh.

quite frankly there should be a law that says you can't be giddy and openly accept help from a foreign power like the trump campaign did and he should be impeached for that above all things in a perfect world. but i guess he's in a gray area there and that (according to the mueller report) 2016 didn't constitute a crime :cryga:

do you even listen to your own question :laughga: an attempt to commit a crime is a crime in itself :smh:

"Every one who wilfully attempts in any manner other than a manner described in subsection to obstruct, pervert or defeat the course of justice is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding ten years."

i googled your quote and all that comes up is references to canadian legal code. 1. we're talking about an american and 2. we're talking about a sitting president.

but assuming donald trump did indeed break the law then why the need for further House investigations into it? it's written down in black and white in the mueller report, 10 times that donald trump attempted to obstruct justice. nancy pelosi says we're not there yet in terms of impeachment even after the release of the mueller report. i'm not a lawyer, which is why i say idk, but to me, bringing these facts together it seems like things aren't as clean cut as you suggest.
