this is off topic (so maybe move to pms, or start another thread, or something) but what was/is difficult about inglés?

1 Their pronunciation rules aren't useful: In french, Spanish or even german, if you learn  the rules there's a 95% of chance you'll say the word right. That doesn't happen in English.

2 The prepositions. This is the most difficult part when studying any language imo. I've been studying french for a while and I still struggle with the prepositions.

NNN, yeah, some Dutch people don't want to get compared to Germans (because of the war we still hate them I guess). But if you understand Dutch you will understand German, but the other way around is harder I believe. But even Flemish is way different from Dutch sometimes. Like we use 'poepen' for taking a **** while the people in Belgium use 'poepen' as a word for ****ing. I MEAN, HOW DID THAT HAPPEN? :air:

What are those?

I see you capitalizing only spanish in there :stalkga:

And just wait until you learn about languages which prefer applicative constructions to any kind of adposition.

1.- Lol it was the autocorrect. In spanish, we don't capitalize the languages.

2.- Can you give me an example please?

From Yagua, in northeastern Peru:

sa-duu           rá-viimú

3SG-blow    INAN-into

"He blows into it."

>>>

sa-duu-tá-ra

3SG-blow-APPL-INAN:OBJ

"He blows it." (valence = 2)

The "into" function becomes incorporated into the verb, and the location is "promoted" to direct object. In Spanish, él sopla en él would become "él ensopla él" or similar.
