I, too, used to love P!nk and feel her recent music doesn't have the punch it used to. I wasn't a fan of Beautiful Trauma personally, but will at least check out this new one. I'm Not Dead is still her magnum opus to me personally.

Her last good album was TAL and her last great album was Funhouse. I think her decline started with the success of Just Give Me A Reason, which was one of my least favorites from TAL. It was way too cheesy in the non pink level of fun cheesiness lol. That popularity I think influenced her sound in Just Like Fire and the sound of Beautiful Trauma. BT just wasn't the best album from her though there were some good songs. She needs the edginess again and a little bit of that pop rock sensibility but more adapted to the times. idk

Nothing beats Mizzundaztood. Not a fan of her new music but i gotta admit she's a great singer and performer.

While I do still like a lot of her newer stuff, it can’t come close to 2001-2012 P!nk. I’m a little/very concerned for Hurts 2B Human, all of the tracks so far are beyond generic, and I’m starting to feel like she’s lost her touch.

Maroon V has become the Adam Levine pop group.    In the beginning they were an almost perfect pop rock band, now they just are part of the same mass pop experience.

Wasn’t Just like a Reason number 1 for many many weeks... in Europe you could hear it at multiple radio stations at once. Thats maybe why she went in that direction further..

Agreed! She has a stronger message than 99% of those making music today. She is and always has been the voice of the misunderstood, she celebrates diversity and roots for the underdog. Raise Your Glass, F**kin Perfect, What About Us, Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken, the list goes on and on.

The amount of un-appreciation for artists (including the one this site was made for) is UNREAL.

Respect the work these artists do. 
All of her music is great, and it shows who she is. Fair enough if it's not your taste. But calling her out for "basic songs and lyrics"??????????? GIRL WHERE?????????????????? Half of these people probably don't even understand her lyrics or meanings.

I'm excited for any P!nk music we get. Each song gives a different vibe and you can tell she's just creating music because she loves it and enjoys trying different things, going to different places, experimenting. Sure, not everything is a home run, but her intention is still pure.

We should appreciate artists more for the work they put out instead of just bashing them before their album even gets released.

Monsters did the same thing with Joanne.

Yep agree 100% JGMAR put her in comfortable position and now she runs for that kind of sounds, if it flopped and if Blow me was the hit of the era, I think things would go different way....

Even when she's "playing safe" and being "gEnErIc" she brings more quality, better messages and far more talent and originality than most pop acts.

And honestly, I highly disagree with the perception of her being a sold out, or following trends, being mainstream, etc., but that's another story.

The problem is nobody's asking for that, and that is exactly what she's doing. It has been the same since 2012.

Exactly, no one expects the music to sound the same on each album. I just expect her touch on each song, but she's gotten so basic. I think being a mom and having a full life outside of her career is a good enough reason for it, it's just that I'm only noticing the decline in originality now.

You need to calm down. I LOVE Pink and haven't disrespected her at all. Her songs have indeed become basic in style. I'm not touching on lyrics because I've never thought her lyrics (or anyone's) were incredibly special. The only unique "Pink" track on Beautiful Trauma is "Secrets." Half of TTAL was unoriginal, too. 

The biggest laugh in your post is that she's just experimenting. HA! Please. Funhouse was experimenting. Most of BT and the tracks from H2BH so far are just doing what's popular right now, not experimenting. 

I love this woman and respect what she's been through, but like others have already said: she's a mother now and she has less time for and less interest in the creative side of her career. Now it's just about making sure the show goes on.

I fully agree with all of this. I was just talking about this with a friend last week how P!nk needed to take more chances with her music and go outside the box again. I feel she did become basic and honestly the music has sounded all the same to me the last three albums.

I think her new album is looking to be pretty good tbh. I think with the last 3 albums she seems to he building a more pop sound, and it took me a bit to get used to. But I love her and her music has helped me through a lot 💜
