I don't think that there is one person that will be "the future of pop." right now Dua doesn't have that much of a following, just a few hits under her belt and that doesn't really mean much. I think with Ariana coming up like she is and Gaga (presumably) coming back to pop/dance music the market will be oversaturated and everybody will remember the standards that Gaga put in place for pop performances and concepts. I don't see Dua having a long career, I see her like a Katy Perry - few good albums/hits, and then she starts to fade out.

I like her a lot, she’s got great pop songs and a great voice. Saw her live in 2017 and it was fun, she definitely wasn’t AS big so it was just her on stage with some band members, no dancers or anything. 

Can’t say she’s the future of pop though... but I do think she’ll have a long career.
