Kim Kardashian was being interviewed for Elle magazine yesterday and decided to tell them about the April Fools Day prank that her 5-year-old, North, planned to play on her dad, Kanye involving Kim and her other child, 3-year-old Saint:

“She took ketchup into my bathroom, and she begged me to let her spread it on me, and on the bathroom, as if it was like a bad scary movie. Then she asked me to lie down. “It did make me a little impressed that they planned something together, and they were getting along and having fun as a team,” the mom of three admitted.

There are no words. I'm genuinely concerned for North if this idea even came into her head. What has she seen or heard that made her dream up such a gruesome thing at the tender age of 5? I'm even more concerned that Kim saw the funny side of it and likened it to having fun and it being like a groupwork exercise. April Fools pranks are going way too far these days and people's minds are getting more and more warped. For an adult to do something like this is bad enough (there are similar "dead and covered in blood" pranks on YouTube) but for an innocent 5-year-old child to dream this up is extremely concerning.

Every kid does this prank at some point 😂 are we really this sensitive now that we have to criticize a child for being a child...this world is ****ed up and you see gruesome **** on the news every day and night so we wonder why she's knowing about **** like this.  Ive been watching horror movies since I was in kindergarten and i have a warped mind but i wasn't conditioned to become a serial killer as a result, im a writer and filmmaker of the horror genre as a result so let's not criticize a child for having a creative mind and save the freaking out for when she's playing with knives and trying to drown her sibs in the massive mansion pool ... i don't mean to be rude but its this kind of over reacting that is destroying the world we live in.  Much love and no disrespect intended! Not every kid. I never did and no one I know did. I didn't take in stories on the news at 5, I don't remember seeing scenes of blood at 5. Probably not having a tv in my room helped at that age and the fact I wasn't allowed to watch anything like that anyway. Just because you did it and weren't affected by it doesn't mean everyone will be the same. Trust me, I don't overreact to most things and actively encourage others not to but this was a bit much. I just don't think anyone, particularly kids, should be thinking that death is something to make pranks about, that it's funny to make someone think their loved one might be dead. That's not having a creative mind, that's just being sick. A creative mind at 5 is drawing original art and dreaming up imaginary games and plays, not pretending your mum is dead to give your dad a fright. That shouldn't have to be said.

As someone who has been around children this age, this isn’t atypical behavior. Kids think ketchup looks like blood. They’ve already been through a few Halloween’s. They understand that people die, but don’t really understand the scope of death. 

As long as it doesn’t preoccupy their thoughts, they are fine. No reason for alarm!
