Did you read the first paragraph? I said I know what he did to her. And there were many problems with Troy's management of her towards the end of their time together. But what they did together was extremely productive. Multiple television gigs, three extremely successful worldwide tours (well, all of her tours are), cutting-edge marketing, the use of social media to connect with the fanbase, etc. She became the biggest pop star in the world and the most powerful woman of the 21st century. She changed society with the combination of her creativity and revolutionary spirit with Troy's shrewdness and insightful, ambitious mind. The perfect left brain and right brain combination.

Troy's management of Gaga will serve as inspiration for many aspiring managers for years to come, if not decades. And remember, while the relationship ended poorly, in the end that lifestyle was what Gaga wanted and what she signed up for. She was in a different state of mind back then.

No, she was at the highest point in her career during the TFM and BTW, both culturally and commercially. Now her success is purely commercial but not cultural. ASIB is just a musical love story that doesn't do or say anything new to move the culture forward.

But if it had been Bobby all this time managing her from 2008-13 instead of Troy and Gaga still had all the same ambitions, would he have been effective in making her as powerful and as influential as she actually ended up being during the classic Gaga years? Would she have ruled the world with Bobby like she did with Troy? I don't think so.
