The hate for Islam in this thread is so depressing.  Every religion has violent extremists. There are countries that are predominately Christian that have similar laws. Don't make this out to be an Islam problem, it's a problem with Abrahamic religions as a whole and corrupt religious organizations.

Each Abrahamic religion is to blame for violent homophobia in this world, but do not make out the Islamic religion to be more inherently violent than the rest. Remember the Spanish Conquest in the United States? IIRC, that was a very violent path of Catholic conversion.

Okay, then what about white supremacist attacks in the United States that they say they're doing to keep the Christian faith pure? Any comment on that being in the past? I'm not anti-Christian or anything, but it is so blind and ignorant to only blame Islam for violent religious acts.

So does the book magically change in different countries??

I'm confused to what point you are trying to make.

Look I understand how it looks when religions, traditions and culture can get mixed up into something. But all we are assuring you is that to see hate and respond with hate does not solve anything.

Your comment sought to demonise a group of people and that doesn't do anyone any good

Yes!

All the Abrahamic religions are violent, but we are talking about Brunei!

Then why comment implying that Islam is a more violent religion than the rest?

Oh please, no need

Then I have no reason to believe you or anything you say. Your opinions that you treat as fact have no basis for anyone else to believe except you. The fact that you aren't even willing to provide any makes it seem that either you don't believe the points you're trying to push, or you're just lazy - and I'm not sure which is worse

Sorry, the first video doesn't matter - it focuses on the past.

Additionally, the second video is alright but you're missing the point - I'm not denying the fact that it is a violent religion, all religions are, but the issue comes from someone saying that "the peaceful majority is irrelevant" in regards to the violent extremists but then turn around and say that the majority of Christians are good people when someone brings up the violent extremists of the Christian faith. It's truly hypocritical.
