When I was 15 and drove 6 hours to her show only for it to get cancelled 10 minutes before door opening (Montreal) :noparty:

Actually same thing here.  I drove a long way for that concert too, and I got there, and we turned around right away, and I listened to my dad complain the entire way back :selena:

I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill.

Interesting how Joanne and SXSW seem to stand as the two opposite extremes where Gaga stans feel comfortable. Joanne being the most Gp-friendly, safe thing she could do, which renders it uninteresting to many fans here. On the other extreme it seems like the Swine performance stands as the limit  of ‘out-there’-ness stans are willing to tolerate.

I wonder if Gaga will, at some point, challenge and push either of these extremes :green:

Oh, I'm just visiting-

When the ARTPOP plagiarism accusations arose. Grl that really hit me hard. All the copied instrumentals being used by one of the last 'genuine' artists. It really sent me to a hate train. I was so glad she came back with C2C

Inside, we are really made the same. 🕊

SXSW by far. I was completely over it. The post Applause ARTPOP era is so tragic. Minus the beginning of the artRave, i genuinely enjoyed that part of the era.

December 2013 - April 2014 were horrible though.

Nothing she’s done has made me want to unstan but her fans have become extremely unbearable at times to where I take breaks from her.

Literally the only time I ever felt true disappointment in her was after a written interview before Joanne dropped. I forget the magazine it was but she basically said “maybe if I wear this white T shirt people will listen to what I have to say” and it seemed such a sad, far cry from her previous ideology of crazy outfits and glamour not comprising her authenticity but actually co-existing with it. It seemed like she was suddenly over that notion in an almost defeated way :(

Now looking back, I suspect she might have just being saying **** just to promo the album. A quote like that might have interested some casual readers in the idea of a stripped down “authentic” Gaga. Sort of like a marketing trick. At least that’s what i tell myself

Never close to unstanning, but I was really disappointed when she dropped The Cure. It seemed like a cheap and quick way of adapting current music trends with no unique Gaga touch to it (although I  appreciate that it's about Sonja)

I don't think I can ever unstan, unless she's found guilty of something horrible lol...

But I grew up listening to her, being inspired by her work and career, and she spoke to me the most among all the artists.

Some of her songs really had an impact on my life, especially Born This Way.

I can't believe fans hate SXSW. For me that performance is one of her crowning artistic achievements. It felt like true performance art - totally unfiltered, not watered down in any way. Extreme, honest, emotional and totally entertaining. One of the highlights of her career, without a doubt:firega:

So am I the only one who really loved Gaga again after Joanne? :awkney:

Even if TFM is my favorite album, I really appreciated Joanne, which is way better than that mess of ARTPOP :whitney:

Nope. Right there with ya sis.

I always liked LG's music. But AHS, Joanne and FF2 made me a stan.

I've said it before and people have laughed at me for it, Joanne isn't just my favorite LG album, it's one of my favorite albums of all time.

I could sh!t all over ARTPOP the way many LMs do Joanne, but it's not necessary. Let LG be who she wants, creative what she wants, like what you like and keep quiet about the rest.

I guess its how you need her to be provocative constantly to find her to be authentic? Also same way I don't see how fans can hate Joanne.

I think I'll always stan her, however my peak stanning years (2011-14) are long gone

It's not exactly unstanning, but I'm really getting bored with the country/soft rock direction she's been going for for the last 3 years
