The point of ARTPOP was a "lack of responsibility". Gaga has talked about how it is a fun album. Both artists have fun yet meaningful songs. I do think Gaga was putting out better material with depth when she was Ariana's age. In my opinion, Sexxx Dreams is a pretty interesting song and it's very experiemental.
