Not too far back but to like 2018 since it reminds me of the middle. So a couple years from now NRO will sound extremely dated. Not to mention, someone saying it sounds like Demons in the prechorus. A pop song sounding completely original is what makes a new release so exciting from a pop girl. Like Applause. Shallow also sounded like something we never heard before in the pop world.
