What if all what she's saying and doing is aligned with the concept of the song "Do What you Want Say What You Want About Me"? Some fans are leaving the ship. some others are whining. What if this is part of the story? What if this is part of the ART in ARTPOP, the ART of manipulating the media, critics and even the fans? I know this may sound like reaching too far, but ARTPOP could mean anything, no? :ohwell:

I think this is happening :excited2: ,  and i remember when she posted those tweets about p-erez, madonna and being fat. it's not the same but something similar, those people were "critics" too

4 months ago it was all about Stop The Drama, Start The Music. Now it feels like the complete opposite. This doesn't come across as any form of manipulating the media. Playing the victim card isn't helping. People are always going to talk and have something to say whether it's good or bad. She said herself that there's no point in giving the negativity any energy because life is too short to entertain that B.S. I don't understand why all of a sudden, people constructively criticize ARTPOP and it's World War III? People have opinions for a reason. With the exception of that Examiner nonsense, everyone else has been critiquing her work based on its quality. I mean I love ARTPOP with the exception of maybe 2 or 3 songs, but this is getting out of hand. Lady Gaga needs to stop worrying about what others have to say and just focus on doing what makes her happy and what makes her fans happy.

This behavior has been a complete turn off for a lot of people, little monsters, casual fans and the media hence why they've been calling her bluff on this. I seriously believe that placing the blame on other external circumstance just made her look even worse. I believe that she failed, as of right now, to accept any responsibility for things that have been going on. I say that, not to bash her or anything but basically to point out that we only have 1 side of the story and it's a game of he-said/she-said. At the end of the day though, to hell with what the haters have to say. Just put your music and your videos, go on tour, kill it, sell out arenas and stadiums, snatch a few weaves in the process and keep it moving. You can't make everyone happy.

Big artists (like Madonna, Jackson and so on) never cared about the critics too, but it's not like they kept saying that all the time.

We got it Gaga, you don't care about them. But don't repeat the same things over and over otherwise it looks like they've hit some nerve.

Don't be a rihanna - who insults them on twitter like an imbecile 14 yo - but just stop talking about them either.

There's a difference between not caring about the critics and dismissing what critics have to say like what Gaga's doing.

I'm not reading 21 pages, so I'll just make a couple of points and hope I'm not being too redundant:

1. This is taken out of context. Some of what she said is IMHO a bit silly, I must admit. But look at what she was responding to (missing from the OP, but you can find it via LM): a truly sorry excuse for a review, complaining that "over an hour is too long for dance music".

2. It's annoying that this was taken out of context... it's annoying that it was even posted to Twitter, when Gaga intentionally didn't, but put it on LM -- where, as she's said, she feels "safe". Can we maybe not do that? Yeah, maybe she's being a bit delusional about how safe LM is, but it's a safer space for her than Twitter, for sure. Could we not try to respect her wishes, and keep her LM posts on LM, to the extent possible (even if that's not a very great extent)? I can't say that her "breakdown" (which isn't) wouldn't still have ended up on Billboard without fans reposting it to Twitter, but maybe we could do the experiment before we decide that? If nothing else, it might slow them down.

You can't have your cake & eat it too.............Sadly!

The last LM post she made about "how fans should forgive her" & that the ARTPOP is "going to start now...now that all the insincere ppl are gone" etc. EVERY major media outlet picked up on that story & basically ripped her apart and it wasn't even posted on twitter, they got it directly off of LM.com

SO, let's stop making excuses for her juvenile behavior & let her take responsibility like a GROWN WOMAN!

This is downright embarrassing for all the parties involved, esp for Gaga. She is making herself look like a walking contradiction.

i just wanna say: no critic, no grammy.

She loves grammy, but she dont wanna be criticized?

Idk whats with her now, but personally i think she's lost in her world and words.

Is this the Lady Gaga i used to know? I'm not sure.

Sorry for my words, and i'm 100% not a hater.

I hate to say this, but she sounds hypocritical. Her previous albums received critical acclaim and she loved it. It's actually cringe worthy when she continues to talk about 'critics', just ignore the criticism if you can't take it and enjoy performing for your fans.

I don't know, maybe I'm just ranting because this situation is getting worse and ARTPOP has not been what I hoped for.
