No woder so many people don't care about her anymore. And this is not for bashing her but honestly, enough about all this whining from her. ARTPOP sold less than Prism. Get over it. Beyncé has beaten you witouth even talking about the album when you talket about it for like 1 and a half year? Get over it. "STOP THE DRAMA START THE MUSIC!" I would say: Stop talking start acting. Grammys are voted on by other musicians. You have to have worked in the recording, production, and/or performance of music to be a Grammy voter. A Grammy is simply a kind nod from fellow musicians, something positive and celebratory of the art form. In contrast, people like P-rez and random critics from gossip publications are just random people throwing criticism at musicians and their work. They aren't trying to appreciate it, interpret it artistically, or dissect it in a constructive and meaningful way either. They're just spewing vitriol. On the one hand I love her idea that sometimes we need to shut up and stop being so opinionated about every damn thing. It makes sense that you also have to know something in order to form an opinion about it. On the other hand, opinions are important to have in order to constantly learn about things. And sometimes a perspective outside of the knowledgeable people is important. 100% agree with you. Gaga's gonna have major whiplash with the way she behaving recently. She always says she doesn't care about critics, but the fact thats she talking non stop about them shows that theyre getting to her, and shes coming off as a total hypocrite. feelitinmybones 0 Posted January 12, 2014 Share Posted January 12, 2014 Part of me wants to be like "get it together gaga", but another part of me realizes that we DON'T know how her life must feel- every single thing she does or says is judged, just like any other famous person. Yes, she did choose that road for herself, but after a few years of being called a freak/talentless/a copier and such, it would take a toll on someone. I personally don't understand critics- I don't understand why one persons opinion should be SO important, instead of a generalized opinion. A lot of the ARTPOP reviews have been more personal attacks, but tbh I feel like some music-focused reviews are justifiable because ARTPOP isn't... fantastic. Some songs are really great but other songs I personally haven't listened to more than 3 times, and I can't ever see myself liking them. That's just my opinion though. I feel like gaga needs to turn off the outside world as far as critics go, because she's not taking it well right now, and just put that energy into her music or something positive for herself- especially considering DWUW is in the works right now, and that is surrounding the same topic of critics/"haters".
