Questions about Enigma for people that have been:

Okay, so I have avoided spoilers for the show, which is SO HARD since I am on this website like hourly. Recently, I saw a lot of fans shitting on the show. Is it that bad?! Critics are raving about it!! I’ve never seen a bad Gaga show! (I’m going in June.) Now I’m nervous!!

Also, I have floor seats (standing obviously,) but I did not get the Early Entry package. Will I still be able to be touching the stage? How early do I have to get there if I want to be front row, if I even can? Where is the best place for me to stand? I want her to read my letter.

NO SPOILERS PLEASE!!

Thanks!

No, it's not bad at all. I've been to 12 Gaga shows (including opening night for Enigma and opening night for Jazz/Piano) and opening night for Enigma is easily in my top 3. The setlist is FLAWLESS and I don't think anyone can try to deny that. Her vocals are excellent and she barely uses backtrack. Once again, it's great :)

It's a great show, nobody that has been has said anything bad about it that I know of.   You don't get the sense of the full stage environment from the videos.   And of course it has Gaga which should be more than enough for fans except for those that are overly concerned about what color her shoelaces are.

It’s a fun show although one of my  least favorites of all her tours. I’ve been to all of her tours except the fame ball ones.

Its still a Gaga show so it’s a lot of fun.

I lost my plane virginity and half my bank account on that show and I don't regret it at all. Amazing show. Do not stress out.

I saw Enigma on the 19th of January and it was amazing!  That was the show where the power went out and even then it was still flawless!  You didn't even notice there was a technical difficulty until she came back on stage to announce that they made the power go out!

I've been to the Born This Way Ball, ArtRave: The ARTPOP Ball, Joanne World Tour, and now Enigma (all in Vegas might I add), and this show is no disappointment at all!  It's good because she is appealing to the general public with most of her hit "singles" but also pleasing her hard core Monsters with fan favorites (I won't list the songs to not ruin anything for you).

If you're a fan of Gaga then you'll have a blast!  I went with my sister, who isn't a Little Monster, but enjoys Gaga's music and even she had the time of her life!

I wasn't GA for this show but have been for the ArtRave and Joanne shows, and I'm sure others can agree the people in GA are there because they're super stans and WANT to be there.  The energy in GA always guarantees you'll have a blast, even if you're not in the front of the crowd.

Have fun!!!

Don't listen to any of the doubters, it's honestly an amazing show and I am extremely jealous of those that got to go so soon. You'll have an amazing time! Hoping I can make it to one of the shows before the year ends and the show changes for 2020.

It's definitely not a disappointment! From the second she enters, the energy is ON.

My one critique is that the storyline is absolute trash and truly has no arch. HOWEVER, the setlist/costumes/lighting and general attitude really make up for it. Like the fact that she performs what she does....its like The Fan Favorite Ball.

I was GA as well (no EE) and entered at like 7:10pm after pounding three shots at the bar and was like second row basically. If you want a chance to be at the barricades, line up at 5pm, which is the earliest they allow in the casino. There's tons of signs everywhere guiding you where to go. Plus, the theatre is much smaller than an arena, so no matter where you are on the floor, you're going to have an awesome view.

Have fun! :vegas:

I went to opening night, which is notoriously where the show is the least smooth, and I loved the whole thing. The energy was amazing and it was one of my favorite Gaga experiences.

I had regular standing GA and still got the barricade. There is plenty of room and there isn’t a bad angle in the whole arena.

A lot of people probably didn't initially like it because 1) we all saw it through those Periscope streams, and 2) it was nowhere near anybody's expectations. I agree with @JohnnyVersace that the plotline is a whole-ass mess, very much like BTWB but without the obnoxiousness and pure camp to make it worthwhile. That said, it's still cute and fun and entertaining if you take it with as little seriousness as possible.

The stage itself looks disappointing in videos, but in person is gorgeous. The lighting and screens and effects actually make the environment look massive (although in a cartoonish manner). Her energy during the show is spectacular, and the set-list is as fun as it gets.

3 points in and ready for more

You guys should really edit your posts above - the OP says that he doesn't want any spoilers... and there's a /lot/ in this thread now.

Production wise its a great show (minor details could have been improved)

Aestheticslly wise its bad. Very bad outfit choices and make ups.

The storyline is trash. Its a good concept, but terribly executed.

Vocally, its very good, especially on the jazz and pianos shows

tracklist is very good! Its well balanced between hits and fan cuts. My only complain is that there are no new musical arrangements nor choreo, but I love the original ones so its not bad

The show isn’t bad, but its a stepdown imo compared to her past tours. Its a Gaga show regardless so the energy and mucis will make up for anything that you dont find perfect.

The Bottomelime: You will find that this fanbase is very much divided about this show. When it first started I saw pure hatred towards it. Now its like 60% love it, 40% dont, but we have all made our peace with it.

And to anyone who thinks this show is not underproduced, please go read the interview with Leroy Bennett, Enigma’s creative director, in which he will very much confirmed they rushed it all
