And can say what you want about Venezuela’s democracy... but last I heard, Maduro was democratically elected.

This was taken massively out of context with the rest of his answer. He stated that, though there is a major humanitarian crisis occurring, the United States has a history of intervening in South American (and Middle Eastern, and Asian, and on and on etc.) nations and creating an even larger humanitarian crisis by imposing a non-democratic leader themselves. He has called for aid for Venezuela but believes the people of that nation must create their own political fate.

Calling him a dictator is not the same as military intervention.

The point of forcing Sanders to call him a dictator is to reinforce the idea of an intervention. 

If Venezuelans want to change their leader, they or the region can do it themselves. I, and many other people, have had enough of the US having unlimited amount of money to be the world police, but never enough money for domestic affairs.

Sadly, yes. (Fidel Castro, Che Guevara etc. too...)

That really sucks ... What they don't see is that totalitarian and authoritarian systems are essentially right-wing ideologies and completly are the opposite of what left-wing and socialism in the marxistic or anarchistic sense were intended to be regarding freedom, revolution, pacifism, democracy and fight against oppression and so on ...
