The most beautiful, talented and unproblematic of the Spice Girls is BACK after a TWELVE year hiatus. There's like EIGHT different formats, including deluxe editions and cassettes. The album contains two original songs written by La Bunton herself (first single "Baby Please Don't Stop" and "Too Many Teardrops") and eight of her favourite songs which she decided to cover, including Spice Girls megahit "2 Become 1".

Why not? They aren't forcing anyone to buy them all. The fans love it, many people have ordered ALL the formats.

well it is not a bad thing I just think it's curious that it is so common with artists with that audience

like Kylie with golden, that had three casettes, the vinyl, the picture disc, the CD, the book edition etc

Actually Kylie and Emma are releasing through the same label: BMG, which is probably why there's so many similarities between the two projects. I think it really only comes down to their audiences: mostly gay men who love collecting physical releases. Some people are disappointed a vynil hasn't been announced (so far), but Emma has been away for so long (literally almost 13 years) I guess they need to see how this does before they invest any more money.

I love all the different formats! That is so smart marketing wise. I imagine she / her team knows that most of the people interested in buying her music are long-time fans/collectors from the Spice Girls days, so it must be such a treat for them to have so many options to collect and choose from for this new release from their fave.

As a Spice fan, I am happy she is returning.

I wonder if she is still doing tue vintage spunds she was successful with or will she doing something new

And Robbie Williams better make 2 Become 1 sounds even better, and not ruin it

I am more of Posh Spice myself, thank U. That explains my refined taste but also a little bit naughty at times. Plus I never smile on camera either.

Most serious and avid fans of someone or something will really invest and collect all available versions of any releases from around the world. Casual fans will get one, but avid fans will always buy 3 copies of every releases each, if you know what I mean.
