It’s sexual harassment. “It’s just a kiss”, “it’s just a tap on the butt”, “it’s just a boob grab”, men on high positions abusing their power should be hit where it hurts, their pockets.

And that is the man she chose to work for, and chose to praise after he won the election.

“He is more incredible in person than I think you would even think as you see him on TV,” she told the Alabama-based program “Politics and Moore.” “He’s just the nicest guy. . . . He treats everyone as if they are a part of his family.”

She also said she expected to be given a job as the “second-in-command” at the U.S. Embassy in Lisbon. “I will at some point be heading over to Portugal to work in the embassy,” she said.

It's just worth noting that she chose to work for a politician who was the subject of over a dozen sexual assault allegations, a politician who admitted on camera to sexual assault, a politician who publicly called women ugly dumb pigs, and a politician who used alleged rape victims as props in a debate.

your view of women and how they should react in certain situations is pretty flawed, that’s what I’m trying to tell you. 

you said “it’s just a kiss”, like no big deal (she should get over it, you gave examples) and if she’s suing it must be because she wants money, not because it really happened. but these abusive men in power should be exposed as the trash they are and they should pay for it, that’s pretty much my point.

It absolutely does not validate it

 

However I'd also wonder why a woman that feels so strongly against harrassment that she'd resort to a lawsuit over a kiss was doing working for a man like Trump in the first place

 

At the end of the day we weren't there and I can't read her mind and heart so I can't say anything with any certainty

 

But the impression I am getting is that she's taking advantage of the situation to make them dollars

 

He shouldn't of done it, she may have been genuinely upset absolutely (what woman wouldn't be?)

 

But I also think if he wasn't a rich man and she couldn't get a lot out of him she probably wouldn't have resorted to a law suit action

 

I've never known a single individual sue over a kiss and when ppl are genuinely traumatized they are usually more concerned with law actions to punish the guilty that did that to them not a law suit to get money

 

So to me her motives are at least partly fishy. I think part of her is genuinely upset (with good reason) but part of it is also her seeing an opportunity to benefit herself financially big time

Obviously, no one deserves to be the victim of sexual assault. Hopefully no one here would suggest otherwise.

However it is worth noting that this woman chose to ignore dozens of victims of sexual assault in order to further the political ambitions of the man who assulted them. She came forward with allegations after she was looked over for a promotion.

Particularly after the Jussie Smollett incident, we should be making efforts to consider allegations more thoughtfully, and understand that stories like this are more complex than your social media feed would lead you to believe.
