Socialism and Communism do not work as has been proven time and time again. May neither ever be implemented in the United States. So many have risked their lives to get here to escape the horrors of Socialism and Communism. The US is already a socialist country henny, too bad. NCgaga 4,345
BERNIE is only going to pull liberal supporters for the democratic candidate. That's all he is going to do, because he can't get enough people to join on the socialist bandwagon. I wish he was not running. BIDEN 2019!!

Secondly, leftists (who have been increasing in number among voters, especially young) will vote for Bernie. Liberals and registered Dems will vote for the Democratic nominee anyway. However, if we get a liberal centrist candidate as the nominee, half the leftists will feel not strongly enough and will sit out or refuse to support the DNC nominee and we'll end up with Trump. This happened the last time. So many Bernie supporters couldn't get themselves to support Hillary. They were wrong in doing so but I know leftists are idealistic and will tear down any imperfect centrist candidate. So we really need a leftist as the nominee. 1. It's good for the country. 2. They will be guaranteed to get both the leftist and liberal/centrist vote in the general election. Ya'll are overreacting to the socialism thing. The USA has social security, Medicare, and Medicaid. It's not a new concept. Check out iTunes data & graphs at CHARTPOP.live

It is thanks to Castro that Cuba can stand on its own today. Read some books about history before you open your ignorant biased mouth. There is some validity to what you say, but not completely. The US wanted communism squashed in Latin America and helped put a lot of people in power, in different latin countries- to avoid communistic governments. Some of the countries put crooked people at the top, and it has caused decades of problems for the people in those countries. NOw, that being said. The well being of the people of Cuba should ALWAYS be the main focus of the govt' there. Visiting Cuba now is like going into a different time. The people have been severely oppressed, infrastructure has completely fallen apart. We cannot praise the decisions Castro made for the people of Cuba. I do agree that it is time for a leftist. This country does tend to cycle back and forth.
