Ok to all the people who said voting ended a month ago, a committee (or something of the sort) can change it. It was posted here somewhere. That’s why i felt like it could hurt her chances.

Does it matter? Damage is done

She is being hard to work with and stuck up, that is what implied here. Her lies just crumbling down like cookies.

Not even though. Her music, her choice. Simple as that

I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill.

He did not address the key point that he disallowed Ariana from performing her preferred song.  I know producers pick the songs in award shows, but that's a bad business model.  Producers think they know what will bring in the most viewers.  But artists know a thing or two about their own music.  Artists want to shine on that stage.  They want to perform the song they know will bring the audience to their feet.  They know which songs will satisfy the viewers and bring in those ratings and viewers.  Ariana's correct.  Taking that choice away from the artist stifles creativity & self expression.  I hope more artists in the future rebel against this business model.  We will see how Erhlich's decision to not let the artist chose translates in viewership this year.  Perhaps the business model will change for the better.

The lies. The final award goes to the one with the most votes. The committee only decides the nominations in certain fields from a list of 15 - 20 most voted songs/albums.

why do you assume she's lying? what? are women in business just automatically problematic to you? she sticks up for herself in business and you need to make sure she knows that is being "stuck up"?

He should have dragged her. In the end, we all win... no Aria at the grammys. We can actually enjoy the performances.

If you're trying to make a point, what is it? You can't enjoy performances if she is also attending the event?

I mean it’s her music and her performance, the artist should be the main drive behind it, just remember the original concept for Applause at VMAs 2013. Grammys are the ones missing out now, not Ariana

Exactly.  I liked one of the posts in the twitter feud that stated that the Grammys need the artists more than the artists need the Grammys.  Maybe the producers will begin to realize that now.

The Grammys may seem irrelevant to some now but it is still regarded as the highest award in the music industry. I'm glad he spoke out instead of staying silent and seeming guilty. Ariana is a diva she can skip awards shows if she wants to.

Yes.   She took a stand.  Change begins with push-back,  Change begins with protest.  I noticed others in the industry are supporting Ariana.  This is good.

So he evaded every she said? That she put 3 songs in and was rejected? Or that the news lied saying she didnt have time to put a performance together?

I dont even care about Ariana but cmon this is bullshit

The Grammy's don't want to turn into vmas, if the songs she offered are the likes of "break up with your girlfriend yea yea cuz i'm bored, you can hit it in the morning like it's yours", you can bet the grammy's aren't going to allow that.

They're the Oscars of the music industry, do you think the Oscars would allow that?

They've already made mistakes in the past, specifically nicki minaj performance lol..

He deflected lol. I think this will hurt Ari’s chances at the Grammys though.:ohno:

The producers and the voters are separate people tho. It's called the Recording Academy, it's made up of a lot of people.

As an artist, Ariana should do what she believes is right for her. But she is performing on the Grammys, so I think its fair to say it should be a collaboration between the two...
