What I am disappointed with a star is born are all the scenes that are in the trailers that are cut out as we all have been very excited to see from the trailers and for the film there are 50 percent scenes that were not shown in the movie so I hope really when the DVD is released that there are many of the deleted scenes as extra:triggered:

I'm holding back on buying the Blu-R this month because I honestly think that some sort of Director's cut will be released later this year. Hopefully I'm right.

Sameee can you imagine watching this in the cinema? The song is so powerful it would of completely overwhelmed everybody with emotion, in my opinion much stronger then I Don’t Know What Love Is, literally the only think I wished they did different.

The only thing I can think of, is that Bradley may not have planned to react this way, hence the deletion.

Then explain why he improvised in the bath tub scene by telling Ally she's ugly to get an honest reaction of Gaga and then keep that in the movie :ohwell:  :awkney: .

OT: This song has so much emotion  . But bc it's played during the end credits I honestly think this song gets a lot heavier while watching :nooo:  .

Where did you hear that was improv?

As much as I love this scene, I'm pretty sure it was cut because it condensed the flow too much.

I remember when early text screenings occurred, there was a lot of mention of the movie being a little too big and filled. This may have been part of that.

3 points in and ready for more

VOLANTIS

It's an unnecessary scene.

We have enough "Ally is a Star. She can sing." is a bit over doing it. I think everyone who went to see the movie knew at this point that she's the star that's being born without having them be bored of it being so in your face.

Having them get married to "I don't know what love is" works better because it's an honest moment. She's not putting on a show. The song is in the background and the lyrics of the song is about two musicians describing love as they know it through music without having it be a performance. It's one of the most purest moments in the movie and even though I prefer "Is that Alight?" superior to IDKWLI as a song, I think the latter fits the scene best.

I'll lift you 3 inches off the ground and drag you to a meter and a half

at first after hearing ita in the one reason teaser and then the tv ad with it, I wanted it to be in the movie and was shocked it wasn’t. but after what @VOLANTIS and @River said, looking back, it does make sense why idkwli is better to be featured in the wedding scene and ita wasn’t to be included in there. ita ultimately works better towards the end of the credits with how it sounds more haunting about what could have been (I think that theory has been mentioned here before)
