Backstreet Boys Score First No. 1 Album in Nearly 20 Years!

After a nearly 20-year wait, Backstreet Boys are back on top of the Billboard 200 chart. The group debuts at No. 1 on the list with its new studio album DNA, marking the vocal quintet’s third No. 1, and first leader since Black & Blue spent two weeks at No. 1 in December of 2000.

DNA was released on the Boys’ label K-BAHN, via RCA Records, on Jan. 25. The set earned 234,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending Feb. 1, according to Nielsen Music, with album sales comprising 227,000 of that sum. DNAis also the top-selling album of the week.

I liked one of the songs (the first single? I forget what it was called) but I haven't liked any of the other singles so far  I guess I'll have to check out the rest of the album

Jk. I Want It That Way was actually the first song in English that I ever heard And I heard a parody version of it first. It was called Which Backstreet Boy Is Gay. I actually liked that one better. I was in second grade. My mom was concerned when I started singing it everywhere.

"It's nothing but a butt ache

It's nothing but a fruit cake" 

"Now I can see him, he's in women's clothes" (instead of "Now I can see that we've fallen apart")

"But he don't need an IUD, yeah, yay" 

It ends with, "Okay. We are all gay."

 

Omgosh this is so cringe

 

The lyrics in this video are a little off, it's "Souffle" and "Pekingese" Just hear it carefully.

OMG YES! ME TOO!!! I can't wait to see them in August.  I've been to every tour but one. (More as an adult than child.)

I started learning English by translating their songs with my sister. (With a book because we didn’t have google then )
