A pair of homonyms spurred a case of mistaken identity on Sunday, briefly rocketing one Northern California teenager to Twitter ignominy.

President Trump took to Twitter Sunday to ridicule Fox News correspondent Gillian Turner for comments she made about the government shutdown. Only instead of tagging the journalist in his tweet, he tagged Jillian Turner, who Newsweek identified as a high school student from Weed, Calif., near Mt. Shasta and the Oregon border.

Trump later deleted the tweet and replaced it with the proper Twitter handle for Gillian Turner, who is a former member of the National Security Council under presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama.
