IMO one of the worst songs of 2018, and of all time: No Tears Left To Cry by Ariana Grande

LOL It works for me if I invert most of the critiques (except for Gaga and some other exceptions).

I hope Dirty Computer wins best album Grammy cause it's a 5/5 to me and it deserves it, but yeah we're veeery different. To me, I like it is a 1/5 song and Palo Santo is a 4/5 hahaha

Yeah, I know a lot of people don't like I Like It but I think it's a great, fun, summer song. Perhaps it's because it samples I Like It Like That, which is one of my favourite Latin songs, more than anything else and it carries the lyrics so well and it was nice to hear such an old song get modernised. I found Palo Santo very bland, gotta say. I wasn't keen on his debut either.

Palo Santo 1.5 / 5 ?! 😂😂😂

Love that album

I'm baffled as to what people see in it. It's so bland and forgettable and that If You're Over Me song is so irritating with those little glockenspiel-esque beats. I think it was in a British ad, so I kept hearing it all the time and songs for ads are usually so bland and easy to get stuck in your head! The beat is so important to me, if it's not right, the song usually can't be good as a whole and this album suffers from that badly.

Where is High as Hope? :triggered:

It came close, I rated it 2.5/5 but its ratio of good tracks wasn't as high as the other 2.5's I imported in. I was let down by it, thought it was going to be one of her best judging by the singles but it didn't follow through with just the singles being the only songs worth checking out when all was said and done.

A Brief Enquiry Into Online Relationships is my favourite album from last year :O It's incredible. Imo it was the best, along with

High As Hope

Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino

A Star Is Born

also I can't agree with This Is America being one of the worst singles :omg:

I find The 1975 to be such a pretentious band and this album was their crowning glory of that. I prefer albums to be a lot more straightforward and clearer about their intentions and not be shrouded in secret meaning that's impossible to decipher unless you have a degree in philosophy. Requires a brain but not to the point where it hurts. It's just a personal preference. As I was saying above, High As Hope just missed the bar for me, as did Tranquility Base. For me, I can't stand This Is America because to my mind, it deals with the subject of race in music all wrong and makes a mockery of the situation by not taking it seriously enough, overall making an inane song with far too much repetition. Just because a black artist makes a song about race doesn't make it good or the right way to do it and unfortunately, I think that's how the majority view this song. I, on the other hand, just view lyrics on the same level no matter who wrote them and this isn't good to any degree, there's barely any lyrics to judge in the first place. The fact it's being nominated for its songwriting at the Grammys is just mindboggling when you think of how much better crafted songwriting there was last year. I could say so much more but don't want to cause too much controversy.

Lmao imagine putting Honey in the worst albums of 2018 when it out reviews every single Gaga album

Yep, I don't get what the critics are going nuts about. This was a very weird album and to be honest, I don't remember much about it other than the overwhelming pretentiousness of it. No idea what it was even about.

I ****ING LOVE THAT ALBUM :nooo:

Yeah, that Pynk song was so cringey. Even as a woman and a feminist, I can say that I am not down with this type of song. It makes a mockery of womanhood, especially the video. I don't know why Janelle embarrassed herself with something so infantile. And the way she pronounces pink like "peenk" really bugs me.

Again, I found the album way too pretentious. Thinks it's saying more than it actually is. Apparently, being super on-trend and topical is enough to get you good reviews these days, but not from me.

I even ****ing made a topic about it (but since I'm not famous, it was ignored by every****ingone) :huntyga:, so here's a copy/paste of what I originally posted. AGAIN:

This is my favorite videos/singles released in 2018. Maybe you don't know some of these artists (maybe), so at the same time it is a recommendation. And I want to know what you consider the best of 2018 in music too. Happy holidays, guys, and may 2019 be a wonderful year for every one of you!

12. I didn't even know if LP's a boy or a girl at first, but I love her music so much.

11. I don't need Beyoncé if I have Janelle, tbh.

10. Classic pre-Fame Gaga vibes and I love it.

09. I love this band so much, and the weird song title.

08. The most Liz Phair-esque thing I've ever seen besides Liz Phair herself.

07. The Cure must be proud. I was needing this kind of retro dream pop so badly in my life.

06.  Gayest 2018 video in my opinion.

05. I really love it when Kesha goes rock n' roll. Amazing fun collaboration.

04. Florence Welch, always brutal.

03. Queen of trolling.

02. They're saving rock music in this world. Amazing young artists.

01. 10 minutes of personal Heaven.

This is homophobia, madam! May I, please, know why was this not higher than its current placement? And why any single from this masterpiece is not in top-40 tracks? :coffee:

The nation wants to know, the nation deserves answer that what made Camilla a better album than GH?
