Those twitter "stans"...

Really sorry if this offends anyone, but I need to blow off some steam right now.

I've been reading AWFUL things since the Golden Globes. I'm ashamed of *part of* this fanbase, of those so-called-stans who see Gaga as an absolute goddess, who is above every signer and actress in this planet.

I wish there could be some critical sense sometimes. It's not because we like, love, stan her that we must diminish, discredit anyone who has some success.

Wether it's Beyoncé, Katy Perry (yes, she's a sucessful, talented woman and y'all can leave if you wanna argue over this), Glenn Close. They are ALL talented, and pitying them against each other is a big big mistake, that not only is poison for us within the fanbase, for the GP who then sees us as some freaks who can't think of their own and be critical enough to enjoy and appreciate someone else's succes but also GAGA herself and everyone in the industry who is exposed to those AWFUL comments.

ALSO. And this is the exact same problem. Gaga is not perfect. She's not above the others, and she's not above herself. She makes mistake, not everything that she does is absolute artistic perfection. Everyone is allowed to have a critical opinion on her work, and if it's constructive, and well said and thought, they shouldn't be dragged because they don't admire and adore something she's done. Someone can argue they LOATHE something from her, and they are allowed to. I just wish the debate was more constructive, insightfull, and didn't end 99% of the time in some artists comparaison like Bee didn't do this or look who's copying or did Madonna sell that many albums this year.

Ugh. Im so sorry for this, but I can't tell anyone who isnt a stan about this. it's just non understable.

I mean we all freakin LOVE the girl. But I wish there was a way this wouldn't get crazy out of hands. We're not better than Beliebers, or 1D fans from what I've been reading since the Golden Globes, and it makes me so sad.

By the way, here's the tweet that triggered me tonight.

*mic drop

Oh I love that account. :ladyhaha:

That tweet is obviously exaggerating in tone. It’s meant to be funny more than serious, I think.

Also. Stan twitter is a septic tank. Thankfully the average person doesn’t read it or get involved in the whole culture because it really is awful.

A Beyonce fan the other day way making fun of the fact that Gaga lost a GG and may never have children because of her hip. People like that don’t deserve the time of day, and that includes you even worrying about it.

I just mute everyone that annoys me and every key word that could lead to something that annoys me and I have a pretty decent time on twitter :lolly:

Is it really? It't not at all what I'm getting from it (interpretation without tone is a huge problem of the web).. Anywas wether it's ironic or not, I've seen plenty of comments like this one that were 100% not meant as a joke

That’s what super fans do. They’re obsessed with their idols. I think the bigger issue is the big fan accounts like gagamonster96 who tweeted “SNUBBED” when Gaga lost to Glenn Close. They help add fuel do the fire.

It’s easier said than done but ignore and isolate yourself from it because it’s pretty easy to get yourself wrapped up in it.

Unfortunately a lot of fans are immature and carry way too much emotion and obsession. Usually these ones are completely unable to express or respond to criticism in a respectful way and don’t know how to respond other than being hateful. The vibe I get is by “shutting people down” they’re thinking their IT. It’s kind of unhealthy to be like that. I’m always intrigued how these people are in real life (probably not very nice).

Ive always found it ironic and pretty shocking how hateful this fan base can be sometimes, even with the words they use to defend her. For a women who preaches nothing but kindness constantly. I honestly wonder how tone deaf and out of touch some fans are. Clearly her message doesn’t resonate with them. To be human is to be flawed.

Not just twitter though Stan’s poison all social media.  Every article, video, etc comment section turns into a stan pissing contest. These people need to get their own self image not tied to pop stars.

Yea:huntyga: they’re not that young anymore. Most of Gaga fans are millennials.

I love that account, they're super funny :ladyhaha: However they took it too far with that tweet.

It's a hit or miss on Twitter, I simply don't follow the accounts that annoy me (which are usually the ones that are run by 12 year olds).

I love Twitter though, never fails to make me laugh :laughga:

You'd be surprised to see how many young fans there are now.
