finally got to listen to it.

i really like how this norman rockwell album is shaping up to be this stripped-down, mellow, vibey thing.

the "24/7, sylva plath" line must be one of her best.

the song is good, liking it.

if you hurt taylor swift, i'll hurt you back

I really like it, can relate to it somewhat, especially with the "don't ask if I'm happy, you know that I'm not, but at best, I can say I'm not sad" line. This is some really deep writing from her, this is like songs you'd hear from the writing masters of the 70's. I hope this will make her be properly praised at long last because it's so rare to find a writer of this level in the music world today, yet she's rarely had so much as a Grammy nomination and has never even won any of them, losing her nominations to the likes of Bruno Mars and Ed Sheeran who have never been on her lyrical level. Who knows, maybe when she turns 40, she might get appreciated. It seems like all these award ceremonies love young women who have middling talent and older women with middling/great talent but young women with great talent is something they can't get their heads around. Gaga and Lana are key examples of that.

I still don't understand the hype with Lana, she has barely changed sonically since Ultraviolence. I wish she'd step outside of her comfort zone a bit more and try something new. Her shtick got tired around Honeymoon

All her albums sound different, even if it's gradual. She has been stepping outside her comfort zone since Ultraviolence and has been trying new sounds with every album. Ultraviolence had a classic rock influence, Honeymoon had Latin and middle eastern influence and Lust For Life had a retro 70's influence and was her most political album to date. If you really think she hasn't changed since Ultraviolence, listen to Terence Loves You, High By The Beach, Freak, 24, Lust For Life, Summer Bummer, Groupie Love and In My Feelings.

Besides for Gaga, Lana is my only other queen and I love her so so much. All the work she puts out is beautiful, both lyrically and melodically. However, I have been slightly underwhelmed by her recent songs :/ I know people say she’s boring, and I don’t think she is at all. However I have to admit I don’t blame people for thinking that, especially with her most recent releases. They just seem to drone on and on. Cinnamon seems like an exception though and I hope we get to hear this masterpiece in full soon :vegas:

This song so far is my favorite from Norman

What do I have to do with this :gum: ?

Jk :poot: . For me, Venice B**** is still better, but it sounds great, anyway :tony: . I think Me F***ing Rockwell will land in my library, too :lana:

Ew, David!

I hope this doesn’t mean she’s “changed direction”. That never works out.

Meh - I'm hoping for better songs, this one just didn't grab me. BTD/Paradise and even some LFL were immediate masterpieces. I appreciate her trying new things but lately the songs have been....I don't know......lazy and confusing? I really just don't relate or understand this direction she is going.

I'm an avid Lana fan (excluding Snoozeymoon 😴) and have followed her since the beginning. Come through Queen!

It's lovely and well written and I like the way that it feels very direct as in a telling of a secret. It's not so exciting nor unusual though, but a nice song. I like the two before it a bit more. I am so looking forward to this album, need more of her songs in my life, at the moment. She's my grrrl.

Venice Bitch is my favorite so far~

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

I love her writing but this song is just so boring, nothings really happening and we all know by now she can play a piano.

I looved Ultraviolance and honeymoon, even LfL had his moments, but over all theres nothing new coming from her. :lana:
