Like I think she deserved it when she won, but looking back at the countess now and AHS, I really do thing she was superb, What do you think?

Over the moon she won Best Song last night.

Sad she lost best actress, but Glenn is an amazing actress so its okay.

She is superb in A Star Is Born as Ally , the reward is in the film and not the reward or statue.

I loved her in AHS but I dont know if it was THAT good to be an award winning performance. But I ll take the win anyway

Her work with Ally is way more deserving of any award.

 

The Countess might have a few good moments, but overall it is very far from a award-worthy performance. Very, very far.

 

I'm glad she bought the Golden Globe back then though, she now has two GG in two different categories

I feel like she has proven herself so deeply, that the old cliche is true, it's an honor to be nominated.  I was so excited for her when they were announcing the winner in her category, but really didn't feel sad at all when it wasn't her.  Everyone knows it *could* have been her, and that's enough!  

If the same thing happens at the Oscars, at least she'll have one Oscar.  She wins no matter what!

I'm happy Gaga didn't win the Globe bc both Olivia and Glenn won so Gaga can have the Oscar now

It halped her a lot, I believe. Cheek to Cheek and American Horror Story were therapeutic as she said she previously wanted to quit music. Getting an award for each, a Grammy for C2C and a Golden Globe for AHS, must have meant A LOT to her. 

And it makes me so happy to see what a fantastic career she had and how much success she has received in the last 10 years!!

The GG givith and the GG taketh away.  the GG are quirky and wanted to reward Gaga over better performances then, and for some reason they decided to award BR over 4 other better candidates this year.   I'm not going to complain about Close over Gaga, at least that one has merit.

The role was too similar to Gaga's already established image which makes it seem unimpressive; however, if you erase "Gaga" and imagine Stefani as a new actress playing the Countess it is impressive.

Exactly! It is her first time acting in a major picture and she was seen as the major competition to Glenn Close! Press and people not only thinking she could win, but she would win!

Plus, honestly, for those who haven’t seen The Wife, I think Glenn deserves it a bit more based on performance. She carried such an incredibly complex role and made it seem human and almost not like a character at all. Simply put, I think she had just a bit more to work with than Gaga did. But I’d be happy if either Gaga, Close, or Colman won. All three gave phenomenal performances.

but the only thing similar with the countess and gaga is their love for fashion, nothing else. i dont get it why a lot of u say that the countess is so related to gaga.
