Bye 3,947
If this is how it was always meant to end for Dany, the show should have written the losses she suffered between S7 and S8 as being a direct result of her actions, NOT because of the stupid advice given to her by Tyrion, Varys and Jon. Bye 3,947
Imagine watching the entire series with all its amazing villains and then as you're approaching the last couple of seasons you're thinking you're heading for this great showdown with the Night King and Cersei. But in the penultimate episode the true villain emerges after a decade of being depicted as one of the heroes (mad or not and whether you liked her or not, the writing clearly depicted her in a good light with major flaws). Phlop 4,773
Danys character was served injustice though. I get the mad Queen, but it’s not like she went mad on her own. She lost everything coming into Westeros. Ultimately, she was used for some sidetracked war. Had she just gone for the throne in season 7 when her army was strong (had highgarden, the Dornish, the iron fleet, etc) and her dragons she would’ve beaten Cersei when her army was weakened from their battle. She helps the North and she loses her dragons and and army’s and friends and everyone betrays her. She should’ve just kept to her goal then helped Jon. Wasnt it her choice to be mercyful, follow their advice and try tactical games with Cersei? She did, and because of that she suffered losses. That’s how I saw it. Her good side did nothing for her in Westeros.
Alphaz 7,956
So tired of reading people saying she's always ruthless since the beginning. Okay you have your opinion. Let others have their without keep leading people towards your opinion. There is a reason why so many people hated the way they write Dany's storyline. It's the transition. Not that believable to go mad that instance. So many ballistics can't hit one damn dragon is not logical as well. They should have use 2 dragons for the war and kill one during the war. Not kill one during episode 4 just for shock value.

She followed their advice leading to major losses for her, Varys backstabbed her, and now the writing has pushed her into a corner so she acts crazy. Meanwhile all the **** Cersei has done can be discarded because clearly they made Dany as the ultimate evil.

Yes cause if your brother tried to kill you, after he abused you for years, he wouldnt deserve that. She did what Tyrion did with his father. No one sees that as a sign of madness for him. Thats the problem with her madness. We saw too many people doing horrible things in this show and no one called them mad. She never killed an innocent/ civilian until this episode. And now she killed them all because of some bells. Sorry, but I dont buy it. I understand it is easier for people who didnt like her, but for her fans, it is a character assasination of the lowest level.
GagaMyBlood95 9,915
Honestly, at this point I have to say that this is now just plain BAD writing for this whole season starting from the messy Night Kings' death. From that point on, really they kinda ****ed up everything for me.. There are so many cheesy moments in this season where I truly cringe but the way that they literally PUSHED Dany into being evil is insane to me. We all know the things Cersei did, and they portrayed her as a victim in the last episode... Like wtf is that. And I get it if you want to create a mad queen, but you don't use a reason like 'she didn't get Jon Snows' **** so she is gonna go full on crazy'.... A mess. Tyrion wasn't born to incestual parents with madness in their blood though. You guys forget this is something she has been struggling with since season 4. She's tried to suppress it which means it almost surfaced. It's not that shocking she went mad like her father tbh.
