giskardsb 12,565 Posted May 13, 2019 Share Posted May 13, 2019 most of the character arcs actually make sense, each has their "tragic flaw" which drives some poor behaviors. Dany has always been needy for affection and often even her "good" actions were designed to make people like her ( including alot of Dany fans apparently), but she has always had an irrational belief in her right to the throne. Jons "honor" is his obvious tragic flaw and he's caused as much damage as anyone by his inability to transcend it. Every annointed "hero" has proven to be a deeply flawed individual, which actually makes GOT so compelling compared to so many fantasy and action stories. I honestly think most all these plot points are from GRRM, but that D&D just are not very adept and connecting them without his direct guidance.
