As a Democrat, I hope ur right but I don’t think you’ll beat Trump with an empty suit republican like Flake in the primary. I expect Trump to be the nominee barring a removal from office. Just look at Kasich’s treatment over expanding Medicaid under Obamacare by primary voters.

I get why the GOP is unpopular or even hated by some of the Left wing... but they need to be heard if you want democracy to be real. The extreme of either left or right are the problem to unified leadership tho…. like a cat in a sil, I observe life, moving and still. My point is that some boring empty suit that preaches bipartisanship will get killed by Trump in the primary because party voters (on both sides) don’t want want bipartisanship. I can tell u as a progressive that I plan to vote for someone as far left as possible in the primary. I’m not voting for compromise. The republicans aren’t either. I don’t think anyone has a chance against a sitting President...and that includes Trump, but Gallop reports that fifty-four percent of Americans want political leaders in Washington to compromise to get things done. This far outpaces the 18% who would prefer that leaders stick to their beliefs, while the views of 28% fall somewhere in between. The gap between compromise and sticking to principles is the widest in Gallup's trend: -The 18% who think leaders should stick to their principles is a new low -28% take a neutral position on the issue -44% of Republicans and 62% of Democrats favor compromise

People need to be reminded that not all conservatives are... like *****. And if we HAVE to have another Republican President next term I’d be more than happy to take someone other than that guy. Except for the fact that 90+% of Republicans support Trump, Trump’s agenda, and Trump’s rhetoric. https://news.gallup.com/poll/203198/presidential-approval-ratings-donald-trump.aspx So the vast majority of Republican are, in fact, pieces of sh*t. Not in a primary tho, I’m saying that a moderate probs wouldn’t win a primary in these polarized times. And I mean a true moderate, not Hillary moderate. We will see what type of mood the country is in at the time. A lot can happen in the next year.
