ENIGMA Opening Night

This tour feels like a compilation of everything she's already done. From her instagram videos it looked like she was going to reinvent the wheel but I saw none of that. Also, whoever designed the outfits needs to be fired immediately. 

 

This doesn't look like something someone 10 years into their career would wear. I hate to bring up the monster ball because it's such a tired and old comparison but c'mon... There's no defending the outfits she wore during Enigma. 

 

edit: Regardless, she performed well. The outfits irked me the most.

THIS. Nothing special happened on the stage, other than the out-of-place robot monster.

The special effects were all lightings, which were just bland.

I don't even know how you guys can rate it yet, good or bad. Half of the time all i saw was cool looking  pixels 

The setlist was almost perfect (she can drop some the fame songs) and she sounded amazing. Won't judge the rest until i see good videos but it seemed cool.

True. On my part, though, I think I had this unrealistic expectation that, because it's a smaller and static venue, she would do more, you know? And for a small venue, I still feel like she could use up so much more of the space. Maybe different lighting, or background imagery during different songs, or even additional stage props, can fix that?

Flying to utilize maximum space, and that giant robot, were brilliant ideas, though.

A loose unrelated narrative stringing together her discography will probably satisfy most Vegas tourist and fans who just want a fun night out. So, in that way, Enigma will be a success.

For people who hoped she would reinvent what a Vegas residency could be, or people who were hoping she'd do something fresh and push herself creatively, Engima is probably going to be a miss.

For me, watching a live stream of her sleeping in a giant perfume bottle was more interesting, but I'm glad a lot of you are digging it.
