I loved everything about it (yes, I also liked the wig...she‘s had better ones, but this one is cute aswell). Her vocals, her energy and choreography were ON POINT! thopekas 722 Posted December 29, 2018 Share Posted December 29, 2018 Pros: The show was insanely fresh and entertaining, it has vibes from her previous tours and shows buy at the same time is different and new. The looks were on point in general and i loved most of them especially the silver mirror, the one with the lights and even the purple one. Also some fan favorites like Government Hooker, Aura and BDR were a nice surprise. Cons: I was 100% sure that pop bops from ASIB like WDYDT and Heal Me would be on the setlist, it was a bit letdown for me. And also missed Joanne bops like John Wayne and DIC, they would fit perfectly in this show. Venus would fit too but ok she can't add every song in the show. ThenI would have preferred that she used the first wig for the whole show, I mean the one she used for Just Dance and Poker face with the silver outfit, it was the most futuristic and suit her the best. Finally the only outfit that i didn't like was the black-green leotard with the black green boots, its was amazing with the green fluffy jacket but without that it wasn't that good. Overall I really loved Enigma and I'm sure it would be better time by time, she is more energetic and passionate than ever so i really know she enjoys it. Kattys 4,319 Posted December 29, 2018 Share Posted December 29, 2018 Well some of the outfits were a choice and also some choreo moves (shaking like a chicken with spreaded legs during Aura) but I think my only problem is seeing her perform the same songs for 400th time and they are still in the same arrangement. I know it’s supposed to be for a casual Las Vegas tourist but changing older songs, remixing them I think would do wonders. I don’t like Madonna comparison but look at how she changes old songs - she doesn’t perform album instrumentals on every tour, otherwise if you would hear Like a Virgin in the same style for 100th time you would cut yourself. nath4gaga 1,274 Posted December 29, 2018 Share Posted December 29, 2018 OK so here's what I thought. I went to bed a little disappointed because of the poor periscopes. I had seen some of the outfits and I was not impressed. The pacing also seemed off and it lost some steam half way through. But I'm warming up to it a little. The singing first of all is fantastic, but I wish she'd dance a little less to really polish the vocals. The outfits on closer inspection aren't as bad as originally thought, the mirror one is beautiful, and I like the light up one, also the green one isn't terrible. The purple one is really not great. As for the main wig I am not too happy. The concept is great but the bits around the frame of the face need to be thinned and less chunky, and the ponytails need to be at least 20x thicker. I haven't seen a good closeup of the makeup yet so can't make a proper judgment on that. I was quite excited initially by her playing TF and BDR because I thought she might play some of the other album tracks from ARTPOP but she didn't. But overall I think a good mix between songs that fans know, and music the GP knows. I haven't heard the Bowie cover yet so that will be interesting to listen to if anyone has a copy. Scheiße was obviously a standout - on the periscope I couldn't even see that there was a big metallic robot (so people shouldn't come for the show so hard when that's all they'd seen). Million Reasons is always done well, I'm just tired of hearing it to be honest. Shallow was sang very well. The interludes/petga/enigma I can't really make a judgment on, on the periscope you couldn't really see what was going on properly and I haven't seen proper videos of them yet. I think the concept is cool and I like the return to the storyline element of her tours. Was anyone else really hoping for the costume that was shown on the teaser anime video though? That would have looked so cool. I was also hoping for some set interaction like in a video game - so she make gestures and things move etc. Also I have a good idea for a reworked entrance. You can't see her fully but her feet are dangling and she's surrounded by pipes and cables and it's all very industrial. This is her going into the simulation. You can't see her mouth but video of just her mouth with neon lipstick is projected onto the pipes and stuff that are covering her as she sings Aura - then there's some short magical/technological interlude and she is released into the simulation... I think the show could certainly be reworked slightly and I hope certain areas are. But overall it's not as terrible as people were making it out to be, I liked some bits a lot more than others.
