Ever since I first heard it, it just took me back to the ARTPOP era, it sounded so angry and raw.. this song wasn't just about social media lmfao... I feel the song is also about her ex-management also, but I feel it's primarily about the ARTPOP era entirely. She mentioned in interviews that each part of the album is completely auto biographical.. so, why wouldn't she write about ARTPOP? It was one of the hardest times of her life, and Joanne was the highly anticipated original album release from her following ARTPOP, so it's clear that Perfect Illusion is all about that time in her life, which is then followed by Million Reasons, and that is her accepting us for the fan base we are, as we have accepted her, for the good, the bad and the ugly... and her finding a million reasons for her to stick around and keep entertaining us and making music, films, and art. Sure, it's also about Taylor, but we all know how Gaga is with her multiple reasons behind her music lol. I was always focused that it was about her management but I do feel like parts of it could be viewed as her feelings about "Monsters". ANYWAY... on topic.. NO, Gaga doesn't ****in hate us. "I feel you watching me Dilated, falling free, in a modern ecstasy" the modern ecstasy being the network, social media... And the love and feeling of fame with is like dope.... The blow of such love.
