SAG is usually the best predictor for the Oscars because the other awards are usually by critics/journalists, and they are not necessarily actors or involved in film production.

They are competing in the same category (Best Actress) at the CC. Olivia is also competing for Best actress in a Comedy

oooh. I didn't see that. Well I trust that that'll be a good prelude to the SAGs then.

Wait, why do they have the main film categories and then some for comedies? :cryga:

Yh, looking at @emig09's chart, we can see the only time the SAGs got it wrong was in 2011, but that is because of Meryl's overdue status, I mean, she is one of the, if not the, best actresses alive, true, she already had 2 oscars, but she had not won one since 1983, so her whole campaign was based on it, that's probably why she won over Viola (both are deserving, but that's not my point).

That's why even if Gaga wins GG, CC and SAGs she still has a lot to worry about Glenn Close at the Oscars, cuz it's the same strategy which Meryl used and it paid off for her.

Because of the prejudiced view that Comedy is not as important/prestigious as Drama :interestinga:

The funny thing is that the comedy musical category is more competitive than drama this year, so they really did make the best choice. :vegas:

CC are a mess. I can't believe how Margot won on COMEDY for "I, Tonya" :saladga:

She was my fav of the 5 though, annoyed me when she lost the globe. I wonder who they are giving it to this year?
