Ugh Im already over Disney remaking their animated classic into live action movies... How bout they just try to get new ideas and stop monopolizing on their past success.

Seriously? Disney has been re-inventing themselves time and time again. If they want to do live action versions of their movies why not. So far i'm loving what's been coming out from Disney.

Throwing money at recycled projects that have no purpose existing other than capitalising on nostalgia to make money is not reinventing - it's lazy, and everything they've put out so far ranged from uninspired eyecandy to absolutely terrible...

It's a joke! When you give me that look, it's a joke!

Not according to most people. Most of the movies have been very well received.

With today's technology, you can do amazing things in a live action movie that you couldn't just a few years ago. It's exciting to be able to bring these classic tales to the real world.

Plus, Disney is all about nostalgia and childhood dreams. Are you seriously complaining about everything that makes Disney so special for everyone?

And they have been doing new ideas, they don't do just these live action movies. Coco is one of the best animated movies I've ever seen (I think they only distributed it, but still).

Sure, they're making the money, but at least they provide some joy. You're in a capitalist world, deal with it.

Omg! Cannot wait. Aladdin looks handsome as f**k. :v:

I don’t think he’s handsome at all. Jafar on the other hand is sexy af tho.

I don’t think it looks that bad as everyone is making it sound, I mean, it ain’t no Beauty and the Beast (2017) but it’s not trash and also it looks unfinished so I think everyone needs a chill pill

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

Very well received how? Are we talking commercial performance? Critical acclaim? Actual content of a specific movie and how it fits and compares to its predecessor or contemporary films?

If it's commercial performance - bye...

If we're talking about how well the movies are made - ooff, there's A LOT to pick on... They're very pretty tho - I'll give you that... I never disputed that actually - except for Maleficent - I thought special effects for that movie were surprisingly bad for a Disney film... other than that, I even described them as 'uninspired eyecandy' - they're still eyecandy... The Jungle Book was incredible special-effects-wise - some animals were done better than others so it's still no Life of Pi but close...

Also, I'm not sure why you're bringing up Coco, cuz I was specifically referring to live-action remakes... and Coco is a very Pixar film, not just cuz it was made by Pixar (duh), but it has all the elements of a Pixar film, not Disney...

Also also: "Sure, they're making the money, but at least they provide some joy. You're in a capitalist world, deal with it" - that's gotta be the worst way to close an argument, like really? You're gonna try and dispute an argument that Disney is pursuing the money rather than artistic excellence by saying 'it's a capitalist world, deal with it'? I mean, ok? I'm dealing with it but they're still putting out below mediocre films trying to capitalise on nostalgia - capitalism existing doesn't really dispute that...

Eh, I'm too lazy and not smart enough to explain why what Disney has been doing irks me, so... this:

I can go into details as to why I dislike Maleficent the movie tho, if you really want me to - just say the word... THE F*CKING FAIRIES... breath... I'm calm, I'm fine...

It's a joke! When you give me that look, it's a joke!
