L.A Times predicts Gaga to sweep both SoTY and RoTY at the Grammy's

Gaga has been to the Grammys four years in a row now. She’s never been to the BAFTAs before and in all honesty we don’t know whether she’ll be invited again. Therefore Gaga should skip the Grammys and go to the BAFTAs. Imagine her accepting her SOTY and ROTY awards live via satellite telecast from London. That would be so surreal!!!

Joanne wasn't expected to win, only Million Reasons.

I think is more likely for Shallow to win than it was for Million Reasons: it performed better, it has the hype,it's well known, memes related it went kinda viral. The quality is another a factor.

At this point Gaga should just stay at home and play Bayonetta while watching and streaming both the Grammy's and BAFTA's at home.

This was my reasoning as well, kind of. 

It's like, worst case scenerio, what would be preferable: (possibly) lose to some trash like The Middle, or (possibly) lose to someone amazing like Glenn Close or Olivia Coleman? If it were me, I'd rather go with the latter. 

This is till a tough thing for her to figure out IMO. IF she gets nominated for Best Actress and Rising Star, I'm learning towards she should go to the BAFTAs. If she gets shutout, then yeah, Grammys it is. Though, it's been said that since the Grammys are taking place in the US and she'll be doing Vegas shows at that point, staying in the country and going to the Grammys is probably more likely for her.

An awards show literally no one except film snobs care about? Yeah no shes attending the Grammys. Unlike 2016 and 2018 awards she actually has a chance to go home with not one but multiple awards.

The **** is Shallow? An illegitimate single? This counts as promoting Shallow even if shes going to wait 2 weeks after to perform it for the first time.

it literally wasn’t, all the experts predicted SOY to win cuz Ed Sheeran was snubbed in the general fields. Everyone agreed that either MR or praying deserved to win but there was no chance.

I can see the points for staying in the US and doing the Grammys (higher chance of winning, closer to her Vegas residency) but I’m also all for Gaga having new experiences. We all know Gaga would be very humbled if she were to be recognised by the British Academy. Even just being nominated is an accolade. And like you say it’s better to lose to nominees whom you respect (eg Glenn Close and other great actresses) than to lose to Drake or Lil Whoever

She also has a chance to snub the Grammys the way they snubbed her in past years
