The Hunting Ground

I watched The Hunting Ground for the first time today.

I have to say this has shocked me a bit.  I never knew of sexual assaults on my college campus (and mine was one of the ones on their map). This really opened my eyes to some of the things going on.  One of the schools that was one of their highlighted schools, is very close to home and I've heard of things there, and how controversial it was because they weren't doing anything about it. In all honesty, I need to research more about this to see where it stands today, although I'm sure it isn't much better.

One of the stories that bothered me so much is that of when Jameis Winston was accused of multiple sexual assaults, nothing was done, and he's now a pro football player.  It makes me sick.

I'd love to hear others thoughts on this documentary.

I’ve never gotten around to watching this, but I just looked up that football player you mentioned and apparently he also sexually assaulted someone just this year. :messga: Truly sickening.

I had no idea, but now I'm looking it up.  This story was awful, because there were even sportscasters taking his side. This makes me mad and sick at the same time.  Ugh and looking up this guy's reputation, it's just all bad.  They even had a witness to the first allegation - the woman said his roommate or someone came in the room and told him to stop, and he took her to the bathroom that locked.

After seeing it, I think everyone should. It's quite shocking.  It's on Netflix.
