Always a competition. They tend to let male performers be, while they pit females against each other. Is it a fan thing, or is it a publicity thing? It’s annoying for sure. 

I see your points, certainly. But regarding riding of coattails-Beautiful Liar was on the same album as Irreplaceable, one of Bey's biggest hits from an album that debuted at number one. I think they just decided to collaborate, tbh. And Nicki? I'd hardly say she needed Flawless Remix to be relevant again, she had a hit album multiple hits. Once again, just a collab.
I agree that the Beyhive put her on a pedastal high above where she should be, but I think that's a fandom thing. Monsters do it. Barbz do it. Lambs do it.

she's talented enough as a vocalist but she's not good at emoting. she strives to be recognized as more than what she genuinely embodies and buys her artistic cred but that can only do so much when the whole world knows about it... it's a decent product nonetheless. the effort put into producing "perfect" live shows is also noticed but no one really associates great live moments with perfect choreographies on perfectly filled and lit stages and no one really thinks her stage presence is unmatched.

it's a phenomenon. it's not truly elevating her in people's consciousness but it's not ruining anyone's life either. it's a very meh type of phenomenon that occasionally annoys people for a moment there. it usually happens when they're so bored that the loud proclamation of some boring individual's contribution to human life momentarily causes violent psychological dissonance. the condition is then quickly escaped by either sharing your annoyance or ironically suggesting that, although no one is really sold, sure, let's keep buying, whatever. you'll recognize the actual depth of people's public responses and the psychology behind when and why we decide to express our opinions when you begin to grow and see things for what they really are. for now just consider that there's a reason people who "hate" Beyoncé mostly don't mind her as a person and their "hate" is mostly directed at the lazy pop-cultural consensus.

There are Beyonce fans here. I get it. But- it’s annoying when one says something along the lines of “well obviously she is number one,etc.” Then, when someone who isn’t a fan objectively points out why she isn’t number one, they label them as a “hater”. No- they don’t hate Beyonce. They just don’t see her as the number one most relevant or culturally effective female artist.
