I don't mean to be rude but I've never heard of anyone actually listening to Selena Gomez or talking about her in general. (I feel like I would get murdered if i dared to play a Selena Gomez song at a party). But yet shes like the most followed on Instagram and now has the most monthly listeners on Spotify. She only has a few hits but those were years ago, this doesn't make any sense to me.

Her audience is mainly teenage girls, maybe that's why you don't see her being so discussed

Exactly  Things don't add up

Well the listeners are maybe due to Taki Taki since she's featured in it, but literally that's it.
