As expected, the good sis Pramila Jayapal (D) is projected to win Washington’s 7th district by a landslide. Kind of disappointed in the numbers though. She’s at 83.4% of the vote but I was hoping her landslide would come at 90% +. Very wishful thinking but oh well :huntyga:

To me it went from great expectation to alright result. I had hope for a little while.

So we won the house? The house was the most important race in this midterms right?

sorta. The senate controls Supreme Court nominations. None of the justices better not retire or die.

I still don’t know what the House means but yay we flipped it

It is one of the two parts of the American legislative branch, whose members represent the population distribution of American citizens (as opposed to the Senate, where all states get 2 delegates, regardless of size or population.)

Trump is most likely replacing Ginsburg within the next two years. The 2016 election was so important and we’re going to be paying for it for a very long time.

I was probably very harsh in my first statement but libertarians in 2018 are the most frustrating group I’ve ever met. And it’s mostly because it’s a group filled with people who really don’t have something at stake in an election. They’re majority white, male, and received an education, which usually means they’re not below the poverty line. Their view will never match the true interests of the less fortunate or the minority groups that feel threatened in this political environment.

As a political entity, this.

But as policy by policy , I don't see either extreme as a positive....so with the polarized climate that is America at the moment, I'll go with the Libratarian's mainly because they neither.

like a cat in a sil, I observe life, moving and still. My words give a clue, look inside to see whats true

I worked for her campaign. Guys... the Republican has been here since 2001. And a Dem hasn't held this seat since 1967. I am so HAPPY! I was a small part of this victory, I am proud.

This is one of the flipped seats in the House!
