PunkTheFunk 125,703
Republicans maintain control of the Senate President Donald Trump's Republicans are projected to retain control of the US Senate in the mid-term elections. But Democrats are on course to win the House of Representatives, which would deal a blow to the president's agenda. Republicans held on to the upper chamber with key victories in Indiana, Texas and North Dakota. Mr Trump is not up for re-election until 2020, but Tuesday's vote was seen as a referendum on a polarising president. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-46120373

I always see these projections for the winners, but never like an official office telling the results? Who counts the votes and where? Is it digital or manual? They project them before or as they are counting them. It's different from confirming.

That would be better if 3rd parties had a chance in the political climate of the united states. The realistic thing for voting in this election is D vs R, so you have to weigh the positives and negatives of both sides. That's where I'm coming from. US elections are highly decentralized -- meaning there's no "National Electoral Department" running the election. It's just conducted by local authorities in each jurisdiction. DeleteMyAccount 11,881
My message to Dems: Be happy that the Dems will probably be taking back the House. Remember that they will have power in Congress and getting Trump's tax returns is a possibility. Also, look to the races that were super competitive compared to when Trump easily beat Clinton. Additionally, Dems are picking up Governor seats.
