I think it has more to do with their good quality of life North Europe is really the only place I can think of that is competent enough to make socialism work There's a lot of miserable failures with socialism with Venezuela and Greece being the most extreme examples https://finance.yahoo.com/news/heres-cant-blame-socialism-venezuelas-crisis-154605494.html https://www.aljazeera.com/indepth/opinion/socialism-blame-venezuelas-crisis-180530095418091.html https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/global-opinions/wp/2018/08/21/no-venezuela-doesnt-prove-that-socialism-will-bring-about-a-zombie-apocalypse/?utm_term=.4dd565feb1da Well, I guess it depends on how you define the term. People say "socialism" but often mean very different things: I can't whatch the video now cuz it will rape my data maybe when I get home and get wifi Anyway to me socialism refers to big government in general and an attempt at redistribution of wealth I'm my opinion socialism (as long as it isn't taken to an extreme that drives away all the entrepreneurs and businessman) can work and some countries have proved that it can work But socialism with bigger government can also be more dangerous. When more of the Nation's wealth is sent to the government (via taxes) for them to decide how to spend, having a competent government that knows what it's doing and invests the tax dollars wisely and efficiently becomes very important Socialism if done right can be great, but it can also wreck a society when not done properly

FullPsychotic 128
According to this, Finland is the right place to be happy, but is also one of the place in Europe with the highest rate of suicide, together with the baltic states and the other scandinavian countries. I am european... Portugal Spain Italy Greece may be a mess for a lot of things but are the best places to live in Europe. I won't be happy freezing in the North and a lot of locals aren't too.
