Kim and Kanye Meet Anti-Gay Ugandan Leader, Give Him Shoes

Kanye West and his wife, Kim Kardashian West paid a visit on Monday to Ugandan president  Yoweri Museveni. The highly religious leader is notoriously, violently anti-gay.

Since 2014, homosexuality has been illegal in Uganda via the parliament’s Uganda Anti-Homosexuality Act—punishable by life in prison.

In 2009, it was reported that Museveni backed a proposed bill that would make same-sex activity punishable by death.
