Economy 49,555
Just an FYI... "Domestic" includes Canada as well not just the US. So it's more like North American Numbers But with only 38 Million people, yeah, 85% is from the US Guaranteed
MonsterofFame 1,785
For a movie that has NO modern branding or history (like Halloween and all those super hero movies) this is amazing.
Ty3009 232
For those unaware, $100M domestic box office is an important milestone for negotiating TV and Streaming rates. Studios will go to great lengths to push their movies over this amount if they’re on the cusp. That way they make more money after the theatrical run is over. Also, please keep in mind the studios only keep about 50% of the domestic box office. So Warner Bros. have only earned about $50M from the film domestically. The budget is purported to be $36M. We don’t know the marketing costs so it’s difficult to say if the film has truly broken even yet. But with good legs at the box office and revenue down the line from streaming, DVD/Blu-Ray, and TV broadcast, this film will definitely be a financial success for the studio. S0436 10,215
I’m sure it is making profit now, didn’t someone say the marketing budget is equal to production budget so that means total costs are $72million. It is on around $150m worldwide gross so far, it’s for sure making profit for the studio already.
