FairyDreams 4
Greed: A selfish or excessive desire for more than is needed or deserved, especially of money, wealth, food, or other possessions. Your envious of her Greed????? Talent.???? Wealth....??? Popularity...??? If your envy drives you to be better than you are now, then sure, its a good thing. Envy often leads people down the wrong path however.... I try to 'admire; ... as opposed to ...... And I am responding to your statement, not being personal , (intentionally) ... Back to her extragavigance. Her economic condition makes material things seem small. So expensive handbags and shoes ect. really are small items for her... to us...they are out of reach... Envious of her talent, her bravery for going on stage and working so hard. She is packed full of ideas and talents. I am also envious of the fact she can travel the world, also that she gets to make music because that's one of my dreams. This type of envy is not going to lead me down any wrong paths as you mentioned. Anyways, even if I was in her economic condition, I wouldn't have all those possessions... That is how I am... she's free to do that and I will still be a fan... it's just not my type of thing.
Miel 15,009
That's nice :) Though, I feel really bad for her feeling bad about MTN :haha: she believed in so much in the message of that song. It will definitely be remembered by the fans, probably as the one that flopped away but also in its genuine maturity. 3 points in and ready for more
Zeon 0
GaGa had originally planned for "Marry The Night" to be the first single off BTW.

Iconoclast 2
I'm sure she buys only about 10% of that stuff.. the rest is given to her. The more money you have, the less you have to pay for stuff.
Nemo 4,293
Anyways, even if I was in her economic condition, I wouldn't have all those possessions... You know she probably gets a lot of that stuff for free, right?
Arturo 40,746
GaGa had originally planned for "Marry The Night" to be the first single off BTW. No she wanted it to be Born This Way, Marry the Night, Scheisse, The Edge of Glory Interscope wanted Marry the Night as the 1st single but then they listened to Gaga and made it the first. Then after that, Interscope took control Edited August 15, 2012 by Arturo52311

NeonMoth 0
I'm at a crossroads in my life too, as a mid 20s young lady brought up in a conservative society who's trying to break free of the bonds of life, be it religion, societal expectations, authority figures, gender relations in regards to authority relations.... after a trying few years, I feel like the spring is upon us. I've planted purple tulips by the north side of the house to catch the New Zealand sun, some daffodils and a few other flowers, their names currently eluding me. But I remember I bought them at the gardening section thinking how I wished that there would be a section of already-grown-and blooming flowers because I felt like I couldn't wait to see the flower petals when they bloom, but I remind myself that it's a) more economical and b) much sweeter when I watch them grow in the soil around my art cottage when spring comes to town. I felt like a bruised and battered butterfly, and in a way, I guess that's how I relate to Gaga. That born again like a virgin feeling. There is nothing than can compare, and the view from the top is so lonely with only Alejandro to keep me company; don't wanna kiss, don't wanna touch, just smoke my cigarette and hush. All the while waiting for s-xy Mr Bad, Mr Untouchable, the guy with the brown eyes and tender hands, but he never comes, no, because he's off fighting an unholy war. Fight Club every night of the week. And we're left alone to dance in the dark. I love you, Gaga. Shine on, bright star; you're the northern light for many of us, so please don't ever set. Peter Pan will grow up eventually, and though he may climb through my fire exit like a thief in the night, with his monster grin and vampire bites, one day I can flood his pain and tell him that it will all be ok, that it gets better. <3 Kitty

Patrice 0
I’ve trudged a similar road outside of fame for the past 12 months and have also regained my spirit. That’s the main thing; to feel happy. So I’m happy to hear you’re receiving the feelings you give to the world. It’s not just a moment in time either; you’re sowing seeds for new ways of thinking, living and loving :) At the age of 37, which makes me think of Marianne Faithfull, I felt strangely protective about the copycat accusations. Don’t worry about it. They were just tone deaf and looking for a fight. I left the media after feeling like I was working with people that salivated over being mean. I lost my voice after your Auckland concert – for two days. Yeah! You were profoundly good. I look forward to next time :) And for all of the struggles you’ve faced and will face, you have people that care and want you to do your best and have a happy life. We’re lucky to be a part of it. Then after that, Interscope took control Hold on, who told you so? It looks like you had a conversation with Jimmy Iovine... She can argue with her record company all she wants, it won't change absolutely anything. At the end of the day, Interescope will choose the single they want, just like they choose what song should be part of the album. I think she should let Interscope do their job (most of the time, they know what they do, except for Sony Music), she can always sing what she wants on tour, and she's the one who decides how the music video should look like!! It's a win-win situation.
