dit 46,418
I feel that way about her personality too. I cant relate to her and I find her personality rather boring and subdued now. However I stan because of her immense talent and I honestly dont care too much about a popstars personality that much hence why I am still a rabid stan. Born Brave 2,072
That’s fine. She’s an adult and you’re a child you know ?
metalguru 1,553
I am also in need of more OriginalGa. I sa A Star Is Born yesterday, and liked it but I just want to see her in a forerunning context once again. A remake Hollywood movie with diva-esque ballads doesn't take me further in my imagination. And Gaga was all about the frontier of imagination!
Smother Em Eh 7,095
Well she is 32, she’s not gonna be the same person she was 5-10 years ago. People change it’s a part of life. You’ll see for yourself when you grow up, as you will change too. Get Applause & G.U.Y to 1B views!
Sneaky Oliver 22,067
You're overeacting a little bit tbh. Remember when everyone was afraid she would wear a pink hat forever? Gaga is always changing, you may not relate to her last interviews, but it's not like she is a whole new different persona just because she told the same story multiple times. ASIB promo press is not focused on little monsters and no one else outside this fanbase is watching EVERY single interview
LeJudas 6,490
Maybe she's just nervous. It's her first major film role and it's not entirely her own project so she can't do or say whatever she feels like. She probably is having a hard time. It's new to her and I understand if she feels awkward or uneasy.
Vergil 2,296
yes she’s been acting weird since Til It Happens To You era. I remember when she used to make me laugh for hours. ”there’s a ****ing pizza in my ****ing shower” iconic.
Der Meister 3,000
You're 15... She's 32... Trust me, you still have a long way to go through life. In 5 years you won't be the same, you look to your past and you will laugh and learn from mistakes...
freebit 6,240
This all seems so dramatic. Repeating talking points and fake smiles is par for the course for an actor promoting their movie. And she can't be reckless with her comments lest she be quoted out of context and accidentally create bad PR and sink the publicity for the movie. She's being a professional. She is also hardly being meek - she just took up for Dr. Christine Blasey Ford on the highest rated talkshow in the nation when she could have easily swerved away from politics as to appeal to possible hardcore Republicans who might buy a ticket or an album. McYves 1,612
5 hours ago, Blond said: Yes, you've read it. I don't. I think we're completely different personas right now. Truth to be told, i'm still 15, but Gaga-s uniqueness vanished for me. Her BTW era interviews were really the last time we got to see her being confident af, reckless and sassy. I miss that Gaga, i miss Gaga who doesn't repeat Italian leftovers with Bradley because they're from the east coast and her being so grateful for him being the only person who believed in her during making ASIB. I miss Gaga that isn't a lady and doesn't fake smiles. Take a look at Ellen interviews. Look at one in 2011 and the one in 2018. Total change. Don't get me wrong, we all change. We all mature. But is she starting this phase little too early in her life, or is it just my nostalgia holding me back? All comments are welcome, just don't insult anyone, okay? I just feel this way and no one can change it. I still like Gaga, but can't relate to her in the way i did before. This total change of her image really has me shook. I guess it happens. Whatever i may think, i'll still listen to her music and stream it, because she literally saved my life. I'm sorry, but this lady thing seems a bit fake and forced to me. Yes, we all have different versions of ourselves. I have different personas living in my head, true, but they all come natural. I love ASIB and hope people like it,so stream the soundtrack Do not be cruel in the comments please D: Love, Blond Just stop following her and her music, if you don't relate to her anymore. And I say it in a very respectful way. You're not chained to any artist, musician or whatever. Blessings from México. Don't wanna kiss, don't wanna touch, just drink my ****ing coffee and watch 90's cartoons and hush
GagaUnderYou 4,981
Wait for Enigma. She's hinted at shape-shifting, and that's exactly what she's doing. Her current looks, tone, etc seem to be parallel to her character in the movie. She takes on many personas of how she's feeling in that moment which she's mentioned before (reference to Skype Ball and Candy Warhol question). ASIB happened to fall shortly after the Joanne era, right even before Cheek to Cheek, where the toned down, stripped down Gaga is a thing. Based on her working with Bloodpop & BoyzNoise I can probably predict we will see a Gaga who lacks responsiblity again. I agree with the statement of growing up and not being the same person, but Gaga was always a performance. We've always seen random times of her being "normal" even during TFM, BTW, AP. It just now "Lady Gaga" is putting normal in the spotlight, which she's never done before. And I don't think you always have to relate to the artist to enjoy their music, but the relation makes the bond stronger.
Adakam 2
I respect your opinion and your feelings but theres one part that ive seen a lot these days that annoys me. The complaint about her saying the same things (pasta leftovers, etc) accross all interviews is just wrong. First of all, you have to realize that they are different interviews for different audiences. ONLY fans even know shes repeating stuff. Secondly, theres no difference with the past, fans would mock the same unfair thing when she was saying stuff like "halfway between reality and fantasy", or "im italian". And finally, the Hollywood world is VERY different from the Pop world, specially when talking about an elegant Oscar-worthy movie that is her first movie ever. She has to present herself in this serious, calmed manner. If you expected her to be like "PAWS UP MONSTERS!!" Or do silly skits like Cooking with Gaga, she would fail horribly. Its not the reputation she needs right now.
Leblanc 2,454
I truly think she is just nervous and trying to say the right thing and have little cute anecdotes that she can whip out to answer any question. That just seems to be her safe place so she is trying to stay in it and we can tell she is very overwhelmed, she even said it in a few interviews. But yeah I can see why you don't relate, if you're 15 then you're going to latch onto the side of her that would resonate with young fans and not this side which is very mature and sophisticated. I'm generally the kind of fan that just appreciates what she does even if it doesn't wow me or is instantly my favourite because I just want her to be happy and though you can see her nervousness, she's really happy she's achieving her dream. Wet Fire 7,404
She's in her 30s and has changed a lot. So have I. But I somehow feel like it is her experience which has contributed to this change. But it's the same person, who talked about the importance of learning to say no during TIHTY and about going beyond what you think your limit is during ASIB. Cavadour 2,349
Last day some friend of mine was telling me about that particular interview of Gaga (translated in a local french paper) were she was speaking about the first meeting she had with Bradley, the pasta and Midnight Special. My friend insisted on that last part knowing I'm a huge Creedence fan. I was about to tell him "You know I'm already aware of that story : Gaga is telling this everywhere". Then I realised it's probably the case for all Gaga's stans : we are watching her on all possible TV shows, listening to what she says in all interviews, collecting each and every piece of published stuff about her. Moreover, this is happening right now in the middle of a world wide promotion of a huge GP production. She's a big part of it of course, but it's a team effort. She has to play ball. An important lesson to learn and boy, she's doing great ! Long argument short, one need to step back, keep cool and look at the big picture. What Gaga is doing right now is phenomenal and it's just a delight to witness it. Let's enjoy our queen's accomplishment and wholeheartedly support her. PS- Just watched the Stephen Colbert interview. Now that was far from the shallow promotion lingo. Like a real conversation... Soothing. Thank you Gaga and Stephen ! Late to the party but I got a diamond heart
