Two german reviews praised Gaga, but mentioned "too much botox"... (:emma:)

I don't want to be negative, but I thought it was interesting and almost funny that it was so obvious to them. Both of them complained about the same thing. They essentially said, Gaga was good but the Botox in her forhead was obvious and ruined the authenticity for them a bit. (Even though Ally, as a waitress, of course could go under the needle as the character, but I think it's the lack of expression in the face that is important for good acting...)

Also, this one here:

Not sure what to think tbh. I mean... I have to admit her fillers are obvious to me, too. She can't raise her eyebrows that much. (The cheekbones/jawline she has since 2015 etc. also at certain angles might look unnatural...)

Still, Nicole Kidman has a lot of Botox too in her face, yet she is praised as an actress. What do you think?

[I don't judge cosmetic enhancements or plastic surgery, it's not about body shaming -- I would like to discuss on a serious matter if actors and actresses are "less authentic" because of ther treatments/lack of facial expression. I think it's somehow a grey line because it depends on the character they are playing too...]

She's praised for her acting in A Star Is Born, so facial fillers doesn't have to take from showing emotions.

Sugar, spice, and everything nice.

no. I just think that it's her decisions and a little bit sick of pointing that out. xd

“I don’t want to be negative” I’ve noticed you’ve posted a few topics now that are rather negative. Why does it even matter when Gaga’s appearance has been criticised since the beginning of her career. :triggered:

I'm sorry but most negative people don't realize that they're being negative :huntyga:

She gives the film 3/5 points. Has lot of critique and that the other movies are better. Her highlight was the dog they bought. They praised her sining but they were mostly negative i think...

I mean she has had work done, but honestly, This is like not even on the list of things worth speaking about after the release. The movie was excellent and lived up to the hype!

Same. People act like the first thing they'd do if they were a Gagillionaire is not fix their insecurities. It's not a bad thing to be insecure and if you have the means to change it then why not? IDK if Gaga just wanted it for a new look or for a deeper personal reason, either way she looks fantastic and it's none of our business.

To be fair they aren’t criticizing her looks. They’re not bashing her for getting them. They are simply reviewing a character she’s portraying and how it affects that. It’s their review of Gaga’s character not herself.

I have no problem with Gaga getting shots to her face it’s her life and her face and that’s her decision. And surprisingly I didn’t find that it restricted her from expressing emotions in the movie. So even if I don’t agree with the reviewers I think some of you have to realize they’re not bashing Gaga for getting her face done.

I'll lift you 3 inches off the ground and drag you to a meter and a half
