The ballads sound more concrete than these. If I had to rank them it would be: 1) Heal Me - Reminded me of the Cure a bit, especially with the sound effects. I'm sure it was written around the same time the Cure was even though DJWS confirmed TC wasn't a ASIB leftover. 2) Hair Body Face - reminds me of the Fame/BTW (Nothin' On But the Radio) for some reasons 3) Why Did You Do That? - catchy, but in a way annoying to me I'm still grateful for all three tracks. I totally get that are a lot of naysayers in this community who are relentlessly unhappy but music touches people in very different ways. I love that fact that we are all discussing what song we felt the most impact from, and I never said generic was a bad thing and to be frank, I love everything Gaga births but from a lyrical point of view to the beat we will always have an opinion and that's why music is great! Besides, I don't know if I personally consider ASIB to be truly part of Ladys discography (it's definitely part of her body of work) but it's really written from the perspective of her character in the film and it was made for the film. Perhaps not entirely for herself, maybe not for us per say but as a project to accompany the film. It's funny cause she's the same woman behind those different vocals, it's amazing the things she can do. Gaga is more theatrical with her voice and I love that, that makes her different from other pop stars.
